Logging in from forum sends me back to main page.

Is this intended to get more people to look at the main page? I hate it.

Not the main page. But the fact that it brings me back there when I'm trying to just log in from the forum.

Hasn't it always done that? It has since I can remember, but i'm always logged on, so I barely ever physically log in.
