Another thing to remember with DW1, is it didn't come with ALL the maps and charts that are out there. Different revisions and releases came with different odds and ends. Another reason why some people get all the junk and try to stuff it all in there causing box damage.

If it is because nobody has stepped up to the plate, then I might be willing to do it. I am new to the SNES scene, but I would be willing to help out the community.

Ya, I don't think Wiz is interested in SNES and no one else has wanted to document them. A few people have posted SNES contents, but it ended there. Knock yourself out image

  • Quick question, Noticed on the FAQ that the action set is listed but has no mention of a sleeve. So that means (at least some) super Mario / Duck Hunt carts came without sleeves right?
  • Hello, Ive got an Advance Dungeons/Dragons Hilsfar thats sealed but im 99% sure it was resealed. Wasnt sold to me as factory sealed but CIB. Ill open it if itll help you!
  • Beware of sealed games, specially on ebay. They are mostly resealed games. Some of then even doen't have a cartridge inside. They reseal fake boxes with a cassette inside. They know you won't open the game...

I have bought around 30 or more sealed games off ebay, nothing fake yet.

There are a few re-sealed sellers.  I know most of them.  The seals usually look "somewhat off".

But the fail-safe is the top flap.  Reseals will have a crease along the top flap where it folds up.

See if there is a crease along the top flap before you open it.

ya, i haven't bought a reseal yet as far as I know...i have one that doesn't have any overlapping where the h-seam meets the v-seam which could mean a potential reseal, but since the lid doesn't have any creases i think it's legit and unopened.

back on topic: i'll probably open a sealed copy of California Games, as soon as it's replacement arrives. i don't think i'll be able to get more than $15 for it on ebay, since it has a damaged bottom flap due to some careless cramming in a box that was too small. so i'm thinking about just opening it, and submitting the results here.

@ the_wizard_666: i noticed that you haven't updated the faq since july, is this because you need a lot more submissions? thanks
  • Yea, there hasn't been much action in here lately.

I've bought ~80 sealed games and nothing fake yet. I can say with certainty because I opened ALL of them!

This was the first factory sealed NES game I ever opened =)

  • I had gotten this game awhile back in a large sealed and cib lot. I never even looked at it since I had 2 copies of it already. I decided to open up the last little bit of plastic sealing this sad sad story... if you remember my post in finders keepers , the guy I bought this off of begin the deal by throwing this poor game against the wall and slamming Fabio for being on the cover. At first I thought just the box was ruined but opening it u i discovered that the cart itself was crushed and cracked ( looks like it should be in Pauls Collection ). Everything else inside was mint

  • is it okay to post genesis games?
  • I don't think anyone is tracking Genesis games.
  • ok nevermind then i recently opened out of this world
  • Open that Stadium Events. That would be a good addition to the thread. Lol.
  • Thank you, to everyone, for this list!

    nice lol
  • if you ever do SNES, let me know, i found a few sealed SNES games at a pawn shop, but i'm not fully into collecting them (sealed or SNES) but if you need them, let me know
  • Is there a SNES version of this post? I just opened Super Turrican 2 sealed...thought I'd check.
  • So bought this new and opened them a LONG time ago, but I am 95% positive that this info is accurate...

    The Chessmaster

    - Cartridge (NES-EM-USA)

    - Box (NES-EM-USA)

    - Manual (NES-EM-USA*)

    - Nintendo Power Advert (PMG-AA-USA)

    - Registration Card (HIT-EM-US)

    - Hi Tech Advert (HIT-NES-US)

    - Flat Black Dust Sleeve

Note: Box Says "U.S. Chess Federation Membership Offer Enclosed", but I don't have that...I don't ever remember anything like it more than the registration card; so I don't know what that means, but there ya go. Also, I only have the styrofoam, no baggie....may have just gotten lost, but I am pretty sure I would have kept it.

Also, I know you have Snake's Revenge listed, but in case order matters, mine was manual, entry, nintendo power advert, projection tv sheet, THEN "10 ways" advert; but I am about 65% on that order being exact. Fyi, mine had both the styrofoam and baggie.

I did NOT buy this new, so idk if its helpful at all to you, since there is no way I can be sure this is how the game came new. I am pretty sure it would have had a manual, lol. Styrofoam, no baggie, but that is probably not at all accurate, since most previous owners would probably have tossed it.

    Mario Is Missing!

    - Cartridge (NES-MQ-USA)

    - Box (NES-MQ-USA)

    - NES Consumer Information and Precaution Booklet (NES-USA/CAN-1)

    - Textured Black Dust Sleeve

  • I really like what wiz started, and I wish we tracked other games too. It seems several people have stepped up to request SNES. I'm really OCD with knowing what constitutes a "complete" copy of each game, across all systems, so I would be happy to monitor any such thread .. that goes for SegaAge as well.
