Of course, I'm referencing him, but I would like it known that I really don't care what he does, this is more of a general comic towards OTHER people who have done the same thing, he's not the only one guilty of it and I really don't care, I just think his particular idea of 'buying stuff again' was probably the stupidest thing I ever heard in this regard. Selling to buy a house? Sure, makes sense. Got a child? Sure, makes sense. Want to buy everything again? What the hell? I figured my other character in the series (been doing this for awhile now) fit perfectly for the 'asshole/idiot collector' image that I wanted, so I'll use him to do that from now on.
It's a comic. Ask yourselves, was it funny. If not, you can probably skip Stan's brand of observational humor, you probably don't like Seinfeld or political cartoons either. But he's talented and astute, and I enjoy publishing a comic that reflects the level of intelligence of the gamers who read and post here.
Thanks dan. I may surprise you in the future though, the comic is traditionally known for (and this was the reason I was recently fired from drawing for the local newspaper) being totally non sequiter, but he seems to work well with this stuff. From time to time I might pull out the weirdness.
Sorry to hear the local job didn't work out Stan. I guess that's the difference in the readership between there and here, the aging heptagenarian subscribers that make up the steadfast majority of newsprint readers just aren't attuned to silliness for its own sake.
I actually got some emails from readers wondering where the punchline was in my strip all the time. I kept telling them, the punchline is the COMIC, and the fact that they cared so much I suppose.
Here begins the discussion on Volume 2 Issue 4, April 2008.
Continuously bumping this thread for each new issue doesn't really help to stimulate much discussion, and, in fact, probably actually does more to discourage it than anything else. IMHO a new thread for each new issue would be the way to go. (I'm just trying to be constructive here )
Great work yet again . To whom do I owe a thanks to for selecting those pics for my article? They fit rather well. Also, I liked NGD's article on Glider...when can I get one of those fancy special-edition types?
Awsome job on the e-zene guys! Great read! I was counting down the days until April 1st, waiting for the e-zene to be posted. I read it threw as soon as I woke up this morning .

Batty: Your wit is surpassed only by your looks, sir.
There's no need for insults.
Thanks again guys. I usually hate the beginning of the month (bills, bills, hooker bills) but you guys make it bearable.

Vito, you're on the wrong end of the hooker bills. The 1st of the month can be big pay day as hooker payments come in.
Just like NES, you gotta sell to collect.
Who said pimpin' aint easy?
thank but... and the old numbers???:s
Is that German?
Jim: You're right. I should start selling a piece of this ass right here.
Batty: You sly dog.
