character organization

Curious question.

If you're playing a game where one can have a set amount of character types, and a set number of characters per memory card (in systems which use them) or per server in online games i guess.

Are you one to Keep Similar class characters together
or Mix and match?

I ask this as i play Phantasy Star Online (i have my own server software i connect to simply to get online only items but normally i play only offline) (I would be open to opening my server to other NA people when i'm online to experience online play with actual people.) I haven't altered anything on the server like drop rates etc etc  to keep it as normal as the official servers would have been.

The game has 4 types of hunters 4 types of rangers and 4 types of forces.

I have 3 memory cards
1 for hunters (Hucast, Hucaseal, Humar, Hunewarl)
1 for rangers (Racast, Racaseal, Ramar, Ramarl)
1 for forces (Fomar, Fomarl, Fonewm, Fonewarl)

My brothers used to play the game as well but their memory cards were a blind mix of characters
thrown at random.

Whats your opinion on this?

  • My opinion is that Phantasy Star Online kicks ASS! I used to play this a lot in the day when the actual servers where up. I will have to consider picking this game up again especially if others would play online.

As for the topic of the thread. I would usually try to keep similar characters together. The only downside is you never know how many characters you will end up playing and may need more cards than thought and have to mix them up anyway.
  • theres 12 character types 4 per card 3 cards max
