Vertical lines on NES?

I just got a nes, it worked OK when I used a game genie. Then my son dropped the unit.. now it works but I have vertical lines every 1/2 inch..... can this be fixed? if so can someone show me to a tutorial how? I would appreciate it.

    Is it a top loader or a regular nes? if it's a top loader those are jail bars, and you'll have em unless you do an av mod. If it's a regular nes no idea .

    Its the side loader. I took it apart and raised the one row of pins and it helped no lines but flashes. Not sure how you bend the top ones.

    Clean the game with weimans, THEN if it won't work start messing with the connector.

    Yeah, cart cleaning and pin connector repair/replacement will fix 99.9% of cart and console problems.

    I'm gonna play necromancer and revive this cuz I'm having this issue right now. I recently picked up an nes, I modded it to keep it from blinking and replaced the 72 pin connector. I was able to play a few games with it then when changing games I got vertical jail bars. I went back and tried the games I had just played, same thing. I took my nes apart cleaned the contacts for the connector made sure it was snug and fit, still bars. Any advice on how to fix this I just want to play batman dammit! Thanks in advance!
