Super Turrican SNES Glitch help

I recently sold a copy of super turrican (snes) on ebay.  The buyer emailed me and said that it didn't work properly because there was a strange incessant buzzing noise heard when he got half way through level 2.  I thought he was just wanting a return, but I tried my copy out and it did the same thing (clearly not part of the game's sound effects), so damn weird.  Has anyone ever heard of such a glitch in this game?  really weird.  thanks for any help.

    Ok I tried one of mine and it does the same thing, but mine is in the beginning of the level.

    You got the same weird beeeping/humming noise?  I just restarted, put the sound on mono (this was supposed to be some new age dolby digital stereo sound type deal) and it didn't happen this time.  Not sure if it is a coincidence, but it didn't happen.  Seems really random.

    mine was a humming sound. I started the second level and hit pause to run downstairs and I could hear my tv humming from downstairs. It just went away after a little while though
