Probably has been discussed before, oh well.

Anyone play this before? Its a SFC game that has been translated. Pretty decent little platformer. What sets it apart is its story.

You play as Ackman, who is a kid who harvests souls for Satan. Your enemy in the game is a cherub, and you fight against the angel army. SO yea, you work for satan and kill angels. Seriously. Thats the actual plot.
Haven't played too far into it yet, but its s decent game so far, and the plot is so amazing  that I have to play it through. No password or save, which is kind of annoying, but I think unlimited continues.
There are 2 sequels apparently, do not know if they are translated or not.

last saw Ackman face a flamboyantly gay pedophile police officer, and
saw Ackman teaming up with his longtime rival Tenshi-kun.

So if you are looking for a colorful, cute platformer with good humor, and ALSO want to shoot angels in the face in order to please Satan, this is  your game.

    I have the Game Boy version of this on a multicart, and I've beaten it. Unfortunately, it's not a platformer like the SFC version, but a puzzle/maze type game. Still fun though. I want to try the SFC version at some point though.

    I just looked this up on the wikipedia as I've heard of the game but had no idea it was like that, let alone it's from Akira Toriyama. I'm a big fan of his work, not so much DBZ, but DB, Sand Land, Cowa and other stuff. Damn shame this has not been translated officially for sale as it appears there's a small series of manga.



    Do the games require reading or are they just playable?

    The 1st game in the series is fully translated with a patch from romhacking.net. Does not appear the others are, but from the style of the games, I'm pretty sure you could play through fine without a translation, you'd just lose the plot.

    Yea I believe it is/was. The games are based on it. I finished the first game last night. I liked it. Simple and short, but fun and interesting. Worth a few hours of your time for sure.
