Does Harvest Moon 64 sealed not have H-seam?

I was on ebay looking at sealed Harvest Moons and noticed that most of them have seals that go along all 4 sides of the box no seam across the back is this Legit? and if so are there many sealed N64 games like this?

  • I have a sealed Razor Freestyle Scooter that I posted pictures of here:

The non-pictured side (the yellow side) doesn't have a seal, so it could be a similar thing. Also, I opened up a WWF No Mercy and I'm pretty sure it had no back seam, definitely a legit seal too.
  • N64 seals are all over the place. The V-seam doesn't mean much on N64 stuff. Most of your first party titles will have a V-seam (Mario Parties / Mario / Starfox / etc.) but that's about it. Even some first party titles like Zelda OoT come in a V-seam and a non V-seam version.

Late releases tend to be missing V-seams, like Conker. Lots of 3rd party stuff also misses the V-seam.

I do think that Harvest Moon is probably legit without a V-seam, but I'm going from memories of auctions I've watched and not because I actually own one.

I have a doubt about my sealed copy. I've just never seen a factory copy without v-seam.
    Is it ligit?

  • Yeah sorry, that appears to be a reseal. Missing overlap seam, missing vent holes, tope and bottom seams look questionable at best, and not to mention all of the wear that appears to be under the wrap.
  • It's time to look inside.

Everything is mint, without scratches or finger prints.

  • Interesting... probably a store reseal I'd presume. From my understanding of western (i.e. Pacific / Asian) culture, opened games are often resealed to show that they are "New / never used" instead of an attempt to increase their value. At least that's what I've been told when purchasing a resealed game from out there.
  • I bought it on US ebay for $70 with shipping. The lot was called "bad fur day".
