Pirated Gaming Museum, my new website

Ever noticed the abundance of pirate variants of games out there? There's so many, often at times with interesting label art. Well, I decided it's about time somewhere archive EVERY SINGLE ONE of those suckers. So I put together this site in the hope it somehow reaches some sort of goal before I die.

At the moment I've mainly been focusing on Famicom pirates, but it's a site for everything. I got some SNES and Genesis stuff up with more to come, basically I search all over the net. And that's where any help from you guys comes in
I've uploaded around 500 pics by myself, haven't gotten much attention yet.

I'm hoping others are fascinated by the sheer amount of pirates out there and will help out in one way or another in archiving pictures of all these things. I'm also hoping ti will be where people go to someday when they've found an ambiguous pirate and want to know what's really on the cart(as you'll see, any hack carts are on the respective page for the game they're a hack of, since separate pages for each different quirky title pirates come up with would make it very unorganized).

At the least, I hope someone can just enjoy browsing this stuff. Hopefully this is the right forum to post this. Enjoy!

  • Wow cool site. This should be a pretty helpful resource. With the wiki style one could cross reference a ton of data on the legit games within to internal and external resources.

I don't have any pirates in that style, but I do have the Supervision 115-in-1.  I love the thing considering there's 97 titles, 1 duplicate, and the others are 'PRO' hacks making some others harder.

  • Cool, I like it. I don't have many pirates, but I'll see if I can add what I do have.
  • I'll add my 7 in 1 famicom-like cart, and a Joe & Mac cart when I get home today. Cool project!
  • I'm still trying to figure out how to handle multi carts. There's such an abundance, you can't know how many games really are on a cart, and it'd be over kill to put the same pic on each separate page for a game that's on the cart. I might just make a separate page for each type, like there may be multis that all are part of an ID system, like JY multicarts.

I'm confusing myself right now heh.
  • why not just a "multicart" section? As you say, grouping by different criteria would be impossible.
  • I was hoping someone would do a decent site someday to reveal exactly how sick piracy is. There are so many damn games out there.
  • if you look at my collection pics i have a lot of NES and Famicom Pirates
