Games that literally ruin your eyes
A friend and I were co-op scatting........... wait. We were playing 2 Player co-op S.C.A.T , Specal Cybernetic Attack Team - and I had never really gotten too deep into it. We get to level 3 and
W T F
The game literally tears your eyes out, vertical rising at what seems like 200 mph while there is a copious amount of action happening in the foreground. It took 3 tries to beat the level and afterward we both had no desire to play the game anymore as I could feel my vision deteriorating. I was impressed that the NES could handle it without much slowdown (sans for when both players had the laser gun) and with the audio remaining at normal speed, but I just think it may of been too much.
So far I think I like Natsume's showing in Shadow of the Ninja better than S.C.A.T, but that doesn't mean SCAT isn't a great game - because it is except for level 3.....
So what I'm getting at is - are there any other games with ridiculous backgrounds such as this? And are there any other notable co-op games that Natsume made on the NES / or famicom?

rampage, when you get to the "smash the state" intercut after every view cities. it's about 1 step removed from "fighting seizure robots!"

I think that would fall under "Systems that literally ruin your eyes"

I could have listed all the VB games, but for the sake of brievity I saved us all from it
How about Guitar Hero/Rock Band? You get that bar going at medium level or better, it's fast. You're locked in on it due to the timing, eyeing it pretty damn hard, and solid for a few minutes. Ever notice when you look away your vision does this weird downshifting crap where your vision is warped for a few moments? That's got to be doing some harm.
Nah, I've been playing the guitar hero and rock band games for 5 years, probably putting in 10 - 15 hours a week (first 2 years was at least 30 hours a week), and my last eye exam 6 months ago gave me a 20/10 vision, so no harm.
