  • Why is it a month long auction?
  • il get more exposure
  • haha im pretty sure most people on this site visit at least once a day.... so 1 week or 1 month doesnt really make a difference
  • well i dont need the money for 2 months so i thought a month is fine.
  • Not really man. Noone wants to bid and tie up that much money over a month span, IMO. On top of that you are new, so for someone to play cat and mouse bidding with a new member, well, they may not want to wait a month when they could get it faster off ebay. You see? Thats why ebay doesn't allow anything over 10 days as an auction (or is it 7?). Someone will bid, then a month from now, forget they bid, or life may change, what have you. It will actually work in reverse for you.

I mean, you may not need the money, but someone has to take $100+ out of their collection budget if they are the high bidder and set it aside assuming they will win for that duration of time. Noone really wants to do that, and people will say screw that time frame, and your sale will go horribly bad and cheap.

This is the largest NES collecting community. The first page gets seen daily by those who are active on here. You won't really gain more "exposure" over a 1 month period. That's why you are already seeing negative connotations from what I see on your other auction page. Just a suggestion from an older veteran on the site.

2 weeks would be the longest duration, and I could see that being a good max. Just a suggestion.

    Good luck with your sales.
  • plus if you have 3 dudes that plan on starting a bid war, a month would not be good for that. if you have it up for a week, the people that really want it see that it will be gone in the immediate future and will probably shell out more $ in a short time if you don't give them a month to think about it/forget about it/find another copy.

A month would be fine for a FO post, but not for auction.
