BildBildBildBildBildBild

Here is an opportunity to lay your hands on a real piece of art, a reproduction of the classic game Little Nemo - The Dream Master for the NES, entirely translated into Swedish.

The game is limited to 33 copies, and no more will be made. This auction is for the last copy (#33), the other games were sold within a few hours to the VIP-members of the Swedish NES-forum http://www.nesdb.se. We saved the last copy for NintendoAge because we thought it would be interesting to see if a project like this would be of any interest for our friends on the other side of the big pond.

The Winner gets:
* Numbered Box with unique boxart especially made for this project
* Numbered Purple Cart with glossy label
* Pink A4-manual, also numbered

This reproduction is made by a new group called Modermodem 0300
They spent loads of hours to make this reproduction and they decided to donate all the money to Retrospelsmässan (A yearly retrogaming convention held in May in Sweden, http://www.retrospelsmassan.se) to make it an even better event for the visitors.

make it a trio...gl whoever wins. i'm out of this one.
  • The finished product looks great guys. Amazing work! Glad to see it all come together!
  • yeah, it really looks awesome, thank god that I got my hands on a pre-order one!
  • Looks pretty good. I considered bidding but the price is already way too high.

    Good luck with the auction.
  • This auction has Seth's name all over it.
  • the price is insane. no way am i going to bid against new users who are throwing out those bids with 2 weeks left in the auction! with that said, this really looks like a high-quality production! it looks great! good luck!
  • 300 USD
  • whoever wins i'll rent it for a week for $10 and promise to send it back.
  • srh201: I think one of the reasons that the bids got instantly "high" is bacuse a Swedish collector posted a WTB thread on nesdb.se were he offered 3000Sek (about 470USD) if someone that preorder a copy sells it to him...

It is a great opportunity for you guys to learn some Swedish,
  • awesome artwork... unfortunately the price is out of my league

It is a great opportunity for you guys to learn some Swedish,

wow wow wow, then other than the garage cart, this is the most expensive repro/homebrew out there! you guys over there are some serious collectors!
  • The cost of life is really high in Sweden, so 470USD is probabaly what a cup of coffee costs there.

On the other hand, with 470USD you can probably buy my whole country right now.
  • I really like the work you have put into the drawings, awsome...
  • Hehe, wait til you hear what the current bid for the other version at nesdb is at the moment
  • And Duarte is of course exaggerating, that $470 coffee clearly includes a cinnamon roll.
  • lol! Can I buy the game, and get a free $470 coffee and cinnamon roll for free?
  • Copy #1 (only one that comes in a custom designed SMALL box, all the rest are big box) is up for auction on the swedish site nesdb.se/forum. Current bid for that one is 6300 SEK (roughly 1050 USD) and it ends this sunday! Anyone here is of course welcome to register there and place a bid on that one too).

This auction here at NA is for copy #33 and after this has been sold, no more will be available. Alot of the swedish collectors that missed out on the pre-order, and those that will be outbid in the auction at nesdb.se, are probably going to bid on this. So there's of course a chance that the game might stay in Sweden, but then at least we gave the rest of the collecting community a chance to bid. IMO it would be really fun if someone outside of Sweden won it.
  • shrimp, can you post a pic of the #1 cart just for fun? also, when the preorder was announced, how much did they cost to preorder
  • How the hell did it get to $1050 for a homebrew/repro? I really don't mean to threadcrap or anything, just asking. That's the highest I've ever heard of for a homebrew game.
  • Damm I'm going to learn Swedish and translate games Ill be set for life at that price.
  • the money goes to a good cause.
