NH games store conclusion
ok i didnt want to post the location of the store because i didnt want to tick of any local buyers like yourself, but if you dont care then hey neither do i.
and berserker you were so wrong about the prices, i easily saved my self 1/3 of the internet price on these games, not even including shipping.
I think the reason you cant get any good deals in there is becasue of that same "My sh!% dont stank" attitude , typicall of a Nh resident which is why i moved to mass. if you walk in there talking trash why would he cut you a break? dont forget they have rent to pay for a location, there not selling it out of the basement of thier house. so they cant just give the stuff away.
either way i scored pretty good for an SNES find. some of these arent even available on ebay right now. and if they were the price woould be HIGHER. but its not about the price at all, its the fact that these games are tough to come by in the WILD!
have you seen these sealed games yet berserker?!? he told me he went into storage, specifically for me and just grabbed the first few boxes he could get, but he said again that there is way to much stuff in there and its only the 2 of them so its alot of time and effort to get it all. which is why there is such a delay. and i asked him about the rob the robot or whatever and he said he DOes have them in storage, but some are missing pieces, and he doesnt want to go in there and go through the hassle if your not gonna pay what he needs. (i think he said 100$)
i was able to talk him into letting me look at some of the manuals he has loose in boxes, and i just happed to pull out the bubble bobbles. i know its not as good as part 2 but i think thats a great start considering it was only a handful of the 2000+ manuals that were in the store. i dont know squat about NEs so chances r i overlooked something. i only snapped the street cop bc someone pmed it to me.

You laughed so hard you queafed? Anyway, either SNESfinder is 12, completely retarded, actually the owner's son or my personal opinion, the owner who thinks he can fool us into thinking he is the first two.

"well i think hes fair he wanted $25 for a complete wizard of oz"
Yet here your saying:
"Wizard of OZ CIB $20"
I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to call you out. This is the reason no one here will buy from you though. It just seems like your being dishonest.

EDIT: But just for a dose of realism, Street Cop on NES sure ain't a $50 CIB either. I haven't kept up with NES CIBs like other platforms, but I can't imagine it being more than $20-$25, exactly why it is still on the shelf.

I would have guessed 13 by your avatar but you seem to put sentences together way too good to be a retard, really man.

haha straight A's ftw ! i guess i should find a more mature avatar then eh? but im turning 14 in less than a month
they are very good snes titles!
Lol, is anyone in this thread even an SNES collector? A bunch of people who don't know values, trying to criticize what he paid. Excellent grabs man, Kid Kleets is probably damn near $100 by itself. Unfortunately, games like Wizard of Oz are only $20-$25 in today's SNES market, but I also paid $20 for my CIB and wouldn't sell it for less than $50. Quite uncommon.

The price on that cart by itself is between $3.00 and $15.00 on eBay recently. Is the CIB really worth close to $100.00?
I'm just kinda curious man. In your other thread trying to middle man this stuff you said:
"well i think hes fair he wanted $25 for a complete wizard of oz"

SNESfinder already mentioned it, but it is very common for a seller to cut deals on bulk purchases. This is a total non issue, no idea why you'd even mention this.

I'm not hyping values publicly because then I have to pay more when I try to win one at auction. But if you have a Kid Kleets for sale, which I'm sure no one in this thread does, PM me and you can find out firsthand how much I'll pay.

I understand, point well taken. This goes back to it does not matter what the current prices on the limited selection of games is, it is what any given buyer is willing to pay at the time. If I run across one, I will be sure to contact you first about buying it. Thanks for the info jonebone.

First of all, I like how you're calling me out like I personally attacked you. If you got that impression, you're wrong. I was mainly trying to clarify exactly what I felt about the store and how people get suckered in. If anything, you should've taken it as a warning and not an attack. People here on NA are part of a real community and although we sometimes have differences, we generally try to keep the environment positive and fun.
You not posting the store name just made you seem like a dick right off the bat. Like I said, we've got a pretty good community out there. If any of us thought there was a real silver lining to that store, we would be up front about it and trying to help others long before you got here. Especially Scott. Pretty sure he still has the most transactions on this site.
As far as a shit don't stink attitude, I think you need to look in the mirror. I don't walk in there talking trash. I've been going there for 15 years. Both Fred and his son are pretty nice guys, and I have no problem with them. The problem is with their prices. Shit, sometimes I get free stuff and discounts from them, but it's not the same as having competitive prices. Especially for a 45 minute drive.
either way i scored pretty good for an SNES find. some of these arent even available on ebay right now. and if they were the price woould be HIGHER. but its not about the price at all, its the fact that these games are tough to come by in the WILD!

OK, so I've been going to him for 15 years telling him I'd want his storage stuff and you are strolling in as a relatively new customer and he rushes out to the storage unit for you? Either his business is really hurting or he filled you ears with bologna. I told him at the time that I would pay in the $200 range for a complete ROB. That was back when I was still pretty much a greenhorn and ebay auctions were going between $150-200 for a complete ROB.
Also, again, mentioning me specifically. Let's not forget all the other NH members who agreed with me in the previous thread. Let's just mention Berserker because I'm the one who identified the store, starting talking about how great it wasn't, and totally ruined your coolness or whatever you have sand in ass about.
i was able to talk him into letting me look at some of the manuals he has loose in boxes, and i just happed to pull out the bubble bobbles. i know its not as good as part 2 but i think thats a great start considering it was only a handful of the 2000+ manuals that were in the store. i dont know squat about NEs so chances r i overlooked something. i only snapped the street cop bc someone pmed it to me.

Then I see this. I assume someone PM'd you because they were looking for the game, as you were advertising yourself as a middleman before. So now first PM takes it? If I have that right, that's pretty lame.

What can I say, lol
In the end, if you're to be believed, then you might've come across a Kid Kleets CIB for $20. In all honesty, that would be a cool find. But let me assure you that it would definitely have been an oversight by them. It was probably priced 10 years ago, got lost and forgotten and never repriced. I have no doubt that there might be a few more deals hidden away like that. But here's the thing: Nobody wants to sift through a mountain of shit to find a single kernal of corn.
and if it was all about over priceing and how bad the prices are, then how did i leave there with so much? i only mentioned your name because you know about the place better than anyone else here, so who else would i direct that to?
the old man was gone when i went there, and the son knows nothing. hes never even played videogames. its likely that the owner knows quite a bit more about the games. but i just dont understand how everyone can say how stupidly overpriced they are? if hes asking 25$, i could probably talk him down to 20$ for the street cop, and ppl are trying to get 50$ for it? i think that just pproves that he is at least fair priced comparing to the internet. which is basically how this all started. sorry if i offended you at all was not my intention, and when i was asking you specifically about the sealed games, i wanted to see if you had actually seen them there, or if he really did go grab the boxes out of storage, because i still dont know the truth behind that. i had to go there 3 diffrent times and bug the old man about snes boxes/manuals. i was very polite, respectful, and patient. 2 weeks later i went back and the son said his dad asked him to grabbed these boxes out of storage for me to have a look through. but if you havent seen these games yet then he really does have a backstock in storage maybe? if youve been going there for 15 yrs then why wouldnt you believe that they have some backlog? i dont think they got their 50,000+ inventory from trade ins and NH yard sales. espically the sealed ones( they claimed they bought them new) if you only go in there once a year, then they probably dont recognize you as a regular, i have gone there 4 times in the past 2 months before i finnaly got a shot at these games
Two things:
SNESfinder, I know you are a great guy and all from PMs we've had, but your posts do come across with a bit of a condescending tone. I was the same way when I was new, but believe me, the more friends you make, the easier it'll be to collect.
Berserker, I also thought your posts in his original thread came off as dickish too. You tried to steal his thunder and call him out when he was doing a good deed in the first place. I didn't see any place for that.
And no matter how many feedback you have, it's hard to be an expert on everything. Most people here know NES, but fewer know SNES and N64 is so-so as well. Even less know non-Nintendo prices like Xbox, PS1 or Genesis, all of which have their hidden gems, in terms of popular CIBs or rarities. A collector who knows exactly what they are looking for will usually have much better eyes for deals than a large volume reseller anyday. Resellers move a ton of carts, but collectors follow CIBs and Sealed prices much more closely.
