NIB VirtualBoy + 2 Factory Sealed Games

I have the oppurtunity to buy a new in box virtual boy + 2 factory sealed games with it, WarioLand and Teleroboxer.  How much could I sell this stuff for, since I don't collect VB stuff?

Comments

  • Nobody knows anything about Virtual Boy stuff?
  • For how much can you buy that stuff?
  • Well, I know a bit, but not for sealed stuff. I don't think Teleroboxer commands a high price sealed. I bought my copy locally a few years ago for like $5 or something. Its definitely worth more than $5... maybe $20? At least thats what it was a few years ago. I haven't been looking for Virtual Boy stuff in a while.

Wario Land, though? I don't know... I think it gets like $20 CIB, so sealed, maybe $40-$50? I don't think many people care all that much about VB for it to be so high.

As for a NEW VB? That I don't really know. What does it go for CIB? $50-$75? I could see a sealed one going for $125...

    Bah... I don't know...
  • Wario would do $40-$55 but don't know much about teleroboxer, it's less for sure.

A factory sealed virtual boy can usually sell from $120-$300 depending on condition and advertisement.
  • I can get everything for $130.00
  • Also, I did a completed listing search on ebay.  I saw a CIB WarioLoand sell for $79.99, the one I can get is factory sealed.
  • CIB Wario Land for $80! Holy shit! I think I got mine for $4!
  • Wow, jump on that lot.

I saw a couple of sealed Wario Land in the past for something like $50-$60 and never dared to buy one.
  • What the hell just happened with Virtual Boy stuff?

I've got a CIB mint Mario Clash (I have another sealed one) I was going to bring to the swap meet I'm going to next week and I thought I would ask for like $20 for it. But one ended on eBay for $70!
  • And apparently, Teleroboxer is a $50 CIB game now... (I have a sealed one too). Looks like your lot will definitely be worth it.

Do you guys think this price jump (these were not going for this a few years ago) is because VB could almost be considered "classic" now? 1994 was a long time ago. Hopefully 1996 (N64) will be "classic" in 2 years and my N64 stuff will be worth a ton...
  • I wonder if Virtual Boy collectors are in majority europeans.

$50 CIB teleroboxer? It is the price for which rarer VB cartridges are selling.
  • I'm a VB collector myself but I haven't really payed much attention to the prices for games lately since I completed my CIB US Virtual Boy collection at the end of 2007. I can say though that I got my last CIB game I needed, Nesters Funky Bowling, in early December of 2007 on ebay and it was consistently going for 20-25 CIB then. Now its going for 70+. So in a matter of 4 months prices have tripled. Games like Wario used to get about 25-35 complete, and Teleroboxer used to be like 15 CIB at the most. Sealed I think they used to go for about 70 for Wario and like 20 for Telero. I don't know if prices are going to stay up this outrageously high for long but if they do then I'm glad to be done buying the US games.

And I agree with guillavoie with the new system pricing.

  • VB prices fluctuate from auction to auction, I just sold a CIB Teleroboxer (US version) for $25 and I was more than happy with that considering its very common. All the US games, with the exception of Jack Bros and the Mario Tennis box, are very common CIB and aren't worth anything more than $20 - $30 IMO unless they are sealed. Even then there not worth a great deal seeing as they were mass produced and nobody bought them at the time so there are still loads of sealed copies around.

Japanese VB games are a different story though, much more interesting and expensive.
