Finally completed my Ninja Gaiden series :)

So, I went and stopped by a gaming / comic book store called the "Vintage Stock" while in Springfield, MO on my work break. The prices were typical for any game store, and I always stop to try to find variations and what not there.

Well, I happened to notice some boxed games. However, their boxed / cart only games were no different in price. I first saw an Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom mindscape version for $5.99 boxed.

I looked behind the counter, and there sat a NES CIB of Ninja Gaiden 3. Plastic wrapped, and marked $24.99. Needless to say, I picked it up

So, for around $33, I got NG3 CIB and a CB Indy Temple Mindscape. Not bad I thought, seeing that the only CIB of NG3 I saw when doing an ebay search is $80+ (which I think is a bit high).

Comments

  • Very nice score. I would imagine it is near mint if they bothered to plastic wrap it?
  • Ooooh nice, and also indy! I really one of these days need to grab all 3 of (4 if you count young indy) games for NES in the box for display with my indiana jones collection. And I'm not a box person as you know.
  • that is a good find considering that store is high on every single thing!
  • Great find! I just bought NG III at the local flea market for $1 this past weekend. Cart only though!

I know, right? They had an ogre battle CIB there, but it was $50, and the box was beat to crap. I already had it, but that wasnt really a good deal IMO. I was just surprised their CIB stuff wasn't priced higher. I was content

The box is about a 7.5/8 out of 10. it has a crease down one side, but the manual is mint. so overall, not bad

If Ogre Battle is CIB with maps, it should still pull at least $75 on eBay.  That game has gone through the roof in the last year.  Mint copies have passed EVO in price which makes no sense.
