My latest big find - Original Xbox Kiosk

Hey guys, just picked this bad boy up for $85 locally.  The TV is not original, but otherwise looks like everything is there.

Everything seems to work fine, speakers are loud!  Only thing I noticed is the bulbs that light up the top display are missing.  Anyone have an idea of what kind it takes?  Here is a pic of the socket:

This kiosk will look nice next to my xbox collection once I get it cleaned up and find a better moniter.

  • great pick up ....that would great next to my xbox display
  • dam great find man CHARLEY YOU CANT HAVE IT
  • lol its my birthday or it is if i get my way
  • is only on one end like that or is there a connection on both sides?...any numbers on it?

its clearly a plug in florecent connection a hardware store should have a bulb...or you could just replace the housing
  • I have bulbs if you want them. Odds are they probably won't work. The ballasts went bad in 75% of the lights on the Xbox kiosks...
  • These kiosks use CF13DS compact fluorescent bulbs for the top light. It is also Sylvania bulb #20284
  • ^^
    What they said.

I used to have that same style kiosk. Lights all over that thing.

Bought it for $80 after the gas to pick it up, sold it for $300. I had the original TV and remote, though. That thing actually has a decent sound system. Glad I sold it though, as I hate the Xbox.

  • Yeah, tested the upper light ballist, and they are bad. Anybody have any luck repairing these?
  • That thing is going to look so sick once you get those lights installed. Great find, dude.

  • I never bothered to attempt repairing mine while I had it. The top would always glow, and flicker a little, even when the power was off.

Oh yeah... and you're missing a few pieces on the sides up around where the TV sits... I saw someone had a pair on the forum here, although I don't know if they were for sale.
