Thrifting Odds and Ends (Games, Controllers, Oh My!)
Some good pick-ups today overall. I've been debating getting a Staunton Chess set forever so I guess waiting it out was a good idea. The controllers have been crazy lately. That's also my second Saturn in as amny weeks. No cables again so I haven't been able to test them.

It surprises me the amount of cool old toys and games people get out of goodwills in various places. I know I've said enough on how bad my local one is for games (for the first time in 18mo they got a stack of like 15 super common NES games) but when it comes to toys they just have this large bin and calling it 'dumpster diving' would be generous.
I've been finding a lot of toys lately. The older robots are really collectible so I'll usually get those. I found an old Tomy robot awhile back. It was in the box so that ended up selling for $70.
dude I miss 2XL.
I never had one. I wish some tapes came with it 'cuz it's in perfect condition. It looks like it would be fun to play.
Nice Resident Evil longbox and who's your Robot friend?
Thanks, I just sold another Resident Evil Longbox 2 days ago so this one was a funny find. The robot is a Tiger 2-XL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-XL) I came across an 8 track from the original one the other day but passed it on by.
But dang, all that in one day? I'm loving the Jaguar and 3DO games. I have never seen one of those "in the wild", ever.
My area isn't that good for games either. I did have a massive genesis haul last year, but the only nintendo stuff to come through in the past few years was a lot of about 15 games. Good ones, at least.

My first time on those things, so me neither. I almost passed them over 'cuz I'm not used to seeing the cases or graphic marks at all.
