  • Congrats!
  • Excellent Score. Nice find man, and yea guys get real, im sure this was bought for 2 to 3 dollars. probably mixed in with some other genny games or vhs tapes lol. No need to keep the price a secret when you already said it was from a flea market. Im sure there wasn't an old man sitting out at a flea market table asking 2K for this lol?
  • I saw this but passed on it since the seller refused to go 2 for $5 on the games. I'm not paying $3 for a Genesis game!

Check out some flea markets in Va then say that. It's not far fetched.
  • Most incredible find! I wish scores like this locally were possible.. unfortunately people are too hip to rare shit
  • Finally got pics of the pcb for those who are interested.
  • Holy shitballs: That thing is 100% legitimate!!!

You sir have the find of a lifetime. You have found the first and only boxed copy of the rarest Genesis game in existence. Awesome.

That is amazing to hear. I'm so relieved.
  • Wow. That is a huge find. I don't think I could bring myself to sell that if I had found it, and I don't even collect Sega stuff.

I was fully convinced that someone at a fleamarket was pulling a fast one on you guys, but I've never been happier to be wrong.

This is find of the year thus far, and as early as it is, I don't see anything trumping this one.  Coming from a guy that devotes a lot of his spare time to hunting down rare games with his brother: Congrats to both of you!

  • where is it going?

    ebay?

Trust me. The guy we got it from had no idea what was lying there. If you go to flea markets, you know the type I'm talking about

Hahahaha!  I know exactly the type of people you're talking about.

  • That's awesome that you also got it for a good price to boot! Congrats. Can't believe it's real and your amzing luck! Have fun with it or with the money you get from it. Either way, I know I'd be happy! Haha, congrats.
  • I'm going to go out on a limb and say it'll sell for $10,000+ in the right market.
Mock me when I'm wrong and praise me when I'm right.
  • ^What's your best guess for the wrong market? $1

    Wow, totally legit!
  • These random numbers of a value of an item that doesn't have a value yet are awesome.
  • Grats on the find. I posted it on gameSniped today, so you'll probably get offers from someone.

The last copy (sold by Nicola), went for a final price of $2,068.05. None have sold publically since 2006 - 2007.

Lately, there has been a copy for sale. It`s actually been the better part of a year at a $6,500.00 BIN or best offer. It sold for $5,000.00 but was eventually relisted due to a non paying bidder.

Given the nature of the box (spare stickers on generic case) I don't see it getting a premium, but who knows, I've been wrong before. Either way you're defiantly a contender for find of the year. Grats!

Thanks for the listing!! Yet to be honest, I can't picture 15 year old Blockbuster employees being entrusted with (a) applying stickers to the box and cartridge and (b) having extra cart labels lying around. That doesn't make much sense to me.
  • You don't see the case making it a premium priced item...??!?!!?????????
  • I've never seen a case like that style personally.

Though, it's too bad it isn't a bit more creative...
  • Guys, the case is the same as the "other" demo game Acclaim was involved with. A Judge Dredd Demo cart, which is also the same sticker applied to the front of a retail Sega box. This is an "Acclaim" applied thing and not a "Blockbuster" applied thing.

Really surprised none of you noticed that first thing...
