Ninja Gaiden III Loose Manual

Okay, this one is in nice, mint condition.  What's the blue book value on it?

  • Kbb.com list it at 6-8 dollars with less than 80K miles on the odometer.
  • lol I would say the value of it is like 4$ maybe 5$. Manuals alone I dont think are worth to much. This is how I look at it. You have the cart that is worth X and then the box and manual cost the same as the game together. But alone the manual or box is less. So like Contra to me is worth like $10-$15 just for the cart. The manual and box together are $15 making it $30 complete MINT. But the manual alone is like $4 or $5 and the box alone is worth like $7 or $8 make sense?

Maybe not the best system, look at boxes for Chubby Cherub, Sqoon, M.U.S.C.L.E., Best of the Best, FFF Athletic World, many black box games and countless others.  Valuable boxes, not so valuable carts.

Back on topic, I wouldn't pay more than $4-5 for it.

  • $3-$4 for the manual... however, ON AVERAGE, for the NES, it is safe to say that if the value of a cart is X, the value of the box is also X, and the value of the manual is about 1/2 of X. Of course there are exceptions. Popular games like Contra, MTPO, and SMB3 have the majority of their value in the cart, because people want to play the game and do not care about the box and manual; however, like mrmark mentioned, look at CC, FFF AW, and Sqoon. For those, the carts are pretty much $2-$5, the manuals for CC and Sqoon are 10x the value of the cart, and the boxes are 100x the value of the cart (for CC, Sqoon is less than CC). When it comes to FFF AW, the cart can be purchased for $1 at yard sales and flea markets, but the manual can fetch $100+ and the box can get 400+, just like the CC. Ahhhhhhhhh, the craziness of the NES! Gotta love it!
  • Hm...I haven't seen an Athletic World FFF manual fetch $200 before...maybe $50-$100 tops.

As for the Ninja Gaiden 3 manual, I'd say about $4-$6 would be fair, up to $7.50 in mint condition.
  • oops, i meant to type 100 and 400 for the manual and box, respectively... my finger slipped over 1 for each of them. perfect mint condition, i would say 100 and 400 is about right... maybe on the high end, but definitely not inconceivable... considering i just paid $450 for a CIB one from nick and the manual wasnt perfect.
