Ever heard of the "Action Max"?

Found these at Goodwill today.  $2 each.

Cybernoid, Gauntlet II, Mission Impossible, Astyanax, Time Lord, and Guerrilla War.

All common games, but definitely worth $12!

All the boxes are super minty (considering they are 20+ years old and were probably thrown around by the goodwill staff).. the games look like they've never been played, all the inserts are in there.  But strangely, they're all missing their manuals.  Oh well.  I probably would have paid for the boxes alone.

  • NOT FAIR! Those are amazing condition finds and at $2 each, that was a steal. Congrats on the amazing find!
  • WOW. Those are defintely minty. Nice work!
  • the only games mine has for $2 are cart only and usually only 1 title, SMB/DH
  • This is the first Nintendo find from my goodwill for nearly a year. Other than a cleaning kit a few months back. They get Playstation games like crazy though. I am pretty sure I have more PS1 games than I do NES, and I don't even try to collect for it.
  • Always loved the art on that gauntlet 2 box, but also (as bad as the game is) mission impossible looks nice too if you're a fan of the original tv show.
  • Ahh, nice and minty. Congrats on the good find.
  • Nice deal, finding boxed games at a thrift store is always good, especially at that price and condition. Congrats!
  • nice find for $2 each
  • Amazing. I'm in the market for boxes and manuals if you aren't going for CIB.
  • Very nice for $2 each!
  • Yeah dude, like you said they're commons but man those things look great. Very nice score!!
  • Great Score man!
  • Congrats man, those are some sexy CIB's
  • Nice find dude, can't beat minty CIB's for $2 each!
  • sweet find for $2 each, worth it for condition alone.
  • wow great finds!
  • Very nice indeed. However, that selection of games makes me wonder if someone beat you to the punch and cleared out the nice stuff. At $2 a game you'd think most people would buy them all, but I also don't picture anyone only owning those 6 games as a kid. You would expect at least one Mario or Zelda in there.

My thoughts exactly when stuff like this happens.  I drive myself crazy.

  • ^I think the same thing every time I find a stack of crappy sports titles
  • For $2 a piece you absolutely can't go wrong. Those look so minty too, man.

Edit: BTW Tom, I love your avatar hahaha

I completely forgot about yard sales today, but my girlfriend and I hit one around 9am.  I got that Pokemon guide and the gameboy game (Wizards and Warriors X: Fortress of Fear) for $6.  Not too bad.

Then my aunt calls me up.  Says she was at a community sale and found a game for me.  "Super Mario Sunshine for $3."  Cool!

Turns out it's sealed.  That is just so awesome.  She goes to yard sales all the time, so a few years ago I took the time to let her know what to look out for.  Looks like it finally paid off
  • Great couple little finds there, especially that nice looking sealed SMS.
  • Yeah, I can't believe she found that for $3.. especially sealed. I'm just worried there might have been more!
  • Super Mario Sunshine is such an awesome game. It's gotta be one of my favorites. Beautiful graphics, great sound track, and just brilliant to play! Awesome find!
  • Alright, I haven't updated this in a while, so here's a bunch of stuff I've found recently:

Sega Dreamcast with 4 controllers, 3 boxed, 6 games and a sealed Web Browser 2, 4 VMUs.. $25
The guy wanted $75 originally, lol.  $25 is still a bit on the high end to me.
