Hell of a score at Play N Trade...
Well, I've been going to the local Play N Trade every Sunday for a few weeks, now. I go because there's nothing else to do in this town and I'm having trouble getting a job.
Anyway, today, I made a vow that I wouldn't spend more than $10 in the store, since I've been spending a lot of money lately. I couldn't keep that promise today, sadly... When I came in the store, a friend pointed to a Super Famicom laying in the case. Holy crap. A Super Famicom. A Japanese console, in a Play N Trade. On top of that, there was a Wonderswan Color in the case, as well.
Well, I bought both of 'em. I had to buy a couple of games to go with the SFC, as the owner put a note on there requiring the purchase of the games if the console is bought. It's a bit lame, but I can see why: If one goes but not the other, the other won't sell.
Anyway, this is my purchase list for today:
Super Famicom console
Super Mario World (SFC) (I think it's messed up: I keep glitching through walls and on Yoshi's Island 4 there's no platforms in the water and I just fall through the water)
Super Aleste (SFC) (Was this ever released here in the US?)
Wonderswan Color handheld (boxed)
Digimon Adventure 02 (WS)
SimAnt (SNES)
Gyromite (NES) (This one had a converter in it! Sweet!)
Aerobiz Supersonic (Genesis)

what did the SFC run you?
$40, plus the games. A bit much, but for an import it's more than acceptable.

You interested in anymore SFC games? I have a bunch I am trying to unload and my local game store wouldn't take them.
Maybe in the future. I actually just realized that my PowerPak works with the SFC so I'm not really looking for anything right now, but if you want to PM me a list I'd be more than willing to look it over.
Nice scores . I remember finding a Super Famicom and CIB Chrono Trigger in a local game store here, but I had to cough up a bit more than $40 for it ($65, if memory serves me correctly...and that was with a military discount, down from $90 ). How much was the WSC, if you don't mind me asking?
$20 plus $5 for the game.

Very nice indeed. If ever you decide you don't want it, please let me know...I've had Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II for it for *years* and never had a system with which to play them .
i was at a play n trade and they had one of the sfc fire emblem deluxe box things, pretty neat and about 30 famicom games!
Fire
Emblem deluxe box...? That wouldn't happen to have been Fire Emblem
Thracia 776, would it? If so, that's some good money sitting there (to
the tune of a couple hundred dollars...).
I skimmed a bit but if it wasn't answered Super Aleste = Space Megaforce (US name) so no sorry it's not unique. I used to own the cart, it's on my get that game back list currently as I remember liking it.
Yeah, I took a look at the Wikipedia page for it right after I posted. It's still a really fun game, though. Reminds me of Blazing Lazers on the Turbografx-16
Anyway, if anyone here has any Wonderswan games, color or otherwise, I'll definitely be interested in buying some in the near future (Few weeks, maybe?). I'd really prefer games that are light on Japanese text, or games that a person without knowledge of Japanese can play and enjoy. And, if they're affordable, that's ever better. "import friendly" is a good way to put it.
