Notification Error

So... I searched, but I didn't see a similar thread...

I'm receiving a notification that says I have new messages. Then, I look, and I don't...

Has anyone else had this problem - and if so, is there a fix?

    On the bottom right, you'll see pages like on threads, did you miss a message somewhere?

    Check your garbage. You probably deleted a message you did not open...happened to me when I first started...You actually have to open all messages for the "New Message" to go away...

    I haven't deleted any messages. It says Inbox (1) ... so I'm assuming it thinks I have an unread message in my inbox. I checked all 10 pages of messages - there are no unread messages.

    PS ... I fixed it either way... it definitely glitched... I just selected all, and chose "Mark as Read" ... it fixed... but I swear on my life - there were NO unread messages!
