Small Find...

In the past two years (and hundreds of rummage sales) I have found nothing of note in the wild. Sure, there always were some xbox and ps2 sports games, but nothing worth picking up.

It can be quite disheartening, stopping at  about 25 rummage sales every weekend only to walk away empty handed (especially when gas is $4 a gallon). I had begun to consider collecting Hannah Montana stuff instead, since that was at almost every sale I went to, surely my collection would be complete in a few weekends.

Finally a sign of life, this was holding the back door of somebody's house open at a garage sale. Bought it for a buck, came with all the cords, original ac adapter, and original paperwork.

Works great too. Yeah, it is nothing much, but it helps to keep alive my faith that there is still vintage gaming items to be discovered in the wild (that is, besides all the awesome stuff people are always posting on here), and that's probably worth more than a 1976 Coleco pong console.

  • $1? Being used as a doorstop? What the hell is wrong with people!? Nice find, though.
  • Nice find man! Looks to be in pretty good shape. Did you fire it up yet?
  • Nice. That's awesome.
  • haha you can't beat $1.00! i bet you couldn't wait to get home to try that baby out haha.... i'd say if you get that sort of feeling on the way home from a garage sale, it was worth the trip lol.
  • That's a very nice doorstop you bought there, hope it keeps your doorways open for a long time into more gaming stuff.

I've seen a few pong knockoff devices at the flea over time I just never bite as they're not $1 and I think my LCD wouldn't take kindly to it.
  • Actually, I had it hooked up to my LCD, it worked great. I just used a spare coaxial adapter I had laying around. Nothing like playing pong on a bigscreen.
  • Nice find. Especially for a dollar. Have fun now.
