R.O.B. / Power Glove / etc.

Just got an email from a guy in town who is a collector but is starting to sell off some of his stuff.  He has a ton of stuff that he wants me to make an offer on before he throws it on ebay/craigslist.  I know he has some sense of ebay pricing for some of this stuff but he is also not as in tune with a lot of what is going for what currently.

Anyways, in addition to a bunch of boxed games and loose games he's got R.O.B. w/ Gyromite and Stack Up and the Power Glove w/ manuals and Super Glove Ball CIB.  Anyone know what a fair offer would be for these?  What about a step more in my liking from fair image.    I will do a general scan over the games he has but I know he has Spiritual Warfare (black) w/ manual and Menace Beach CIB (in great cond).  How about prices for these?

I have a bit of pricing research ahead of me before I stop by his place.

  • He's also got a Sharp Twin Famicom w/ about a dozen games. I don't think I have any interest in this as my collecting intent was only NES. This is just too much to throw at a new collector... I get confused image.
  • Sounds like this guy has some pretty nice stuff. If the ROB is complete with the box (not in the Deluxe Set) it is easily worth a few hundred dollars. Stack Up complete goes for around $200 give or take $20+ for condition. Also, if the Gyromite he has is the Big Box with all of the Gyromite parts, that's worth some big bucks too. Menace Beach is also another tough one to get CIB, not worth as much as the others I stated, but still a tough one.
  • Yeah, if Gyromite is the Big Box version (which, btw, really is a gigantic box compared to the other NES game boxes), and you'd rather have the regular-sized version, send it my way...you'd be well-compensated. As for how well-compensated, I guess it depends on how far you are into putting together a set...I can put you quite a few games closer plus fattening your wallet. Just trying to give you something to think about if it is the Big Box version image ...
  • ROB, Gyromite, and Stack Up do not have boxes or instructions. Menace Beach does not have instructions (sorry, I was wrong at first) but does have a mint box and the blue sleeve. So what would you say for the R.O.B./Gyromite/Stack UP without any boxes/instructions? Oh, and mb7241... if I get to his place and find out it is the big box gyromite, you will be the first to know. image
  • Gyromite cart-$5-$7
    Stack Up cart-$10
    R.O.B loose-$50
    Menace Beach CB-$70

Those should be pretty close I think.

And a little of subject, But what part of Wisconsin are you from?

Thanks much.  And how about the Power Glove and CIB Super glove ball?

I'm from Eau Claire.  Grew up here, left for part of college, finished college here, moved to Alaska after college then to Atlanta, then moved back to Eau Claire after I got married.  You're in Madison?

  • That Menace Beach would be sweet to have. I remember you saying you were only going for cart only. Let me know if you wanted to work out a trade for the box manual for Menace Beach, and I could give you some sweet carts. (If you get it).
  • I made a own thread.

  • I need a Menace Beach box as well and would love to take it off your hands. Don't listen to Jumpman, he is Canadian after all image EH? image

This is what the Big Box Gyromite looks like (assuming he did have the box), in case you're wondering...

You can see a comparison in the lower picture of the size difference image .
  • Make certain the ROB comes with all parts. If you are at all unfamiliar with what he comes with, do some research on the internet. Also familiarize yourself with the Stack Up pieces. Make sure the glove comes with the set of sensors for the television.
  • I'm not very far from Eau Claire. I'm about an hour or so away. Rockin' it in River Falls
  • Well, I ended up picking up ROB w/ all his pieces, the power glove (yes it has the sensors and two instruction manuals), Super Glove Ball (CIB), Menace Beach blue(w/ near-mint box), Bubble Bobble 1 (w/ manual), Mario Bros. (w/ manual), Uninvited, Gyromite, Stack-up (cart only), and a handful of other loose games and a few manuals I needed. ROB was the big purchase for me. I think I mentioned it before but I've wanted an ROB since I was 6... and now I have one. image I was questioning the Menace Beach purchase but he gave me the game w/ the near-mint box for $50. Sorry to those who wanted the box, I think I'm going to hand onto it for a minute. I'm still not sure if I will go out of my way yet to get boxes but this seems like a pretty decent one to start everything off with.
  • Nice score. I still dont have a ROB yet, and they seem to be pretty popular right now, so it might be a while before I get one.
  • NES Dude... your picture makes me laugh every time I see it... every time.
