A weekly top ad for your BST thread.

So I think you guys at Nintendoage could help better the forum with some more income. If you charge a flat rate for say a week of a stickied thread in BST. I am sure many would use that seeing as the topics fly by pretty quickly in that thread. Kijiji also employs a similar method.

They have the same method over at PBnation.com and it works great for them (a website dedicated to paintballers)

maybe you could look into it. anyways I have no real desire for this but I got the idea and thought I would share.

    Selling sticky threads? Definitely an idea...I can only imagine what the waiting list would look like for this...

    I like the concept. It might be good for auctions too.

    But I think it would be better to have little ads, maybe across the top or along the left. And even then, maybe only within those categories.

    There will definitely need to be a limit, but even 5 stickies is a lot and would really hamper people who aren't putting up ads.

    We would need to strike a balance that doesn't fundamentally eliminate threads with no ads.

    Def an interesting idea.....I am not sure we want to go down the path of charging for stuff though. It has always been a free site and we have always been proud of that. We have always took donations for when we needed upgrades and what not. Curious as to what the boss man thinks about the idea.

    I'm a member of PbNation as well, and this system works really well over there.
