dougman, I have a spare 3 screw Kid Niki but its not mint. I'm going to a game convention this weekend, and I have another person on here looking to sell/trade so if either of those fall through, I'll let you know. I could always trade the copy in my collection, and yes I do have some of the items on your want list.
I just hate people who get caught lying and won't fess up. Matt I gave you a few chances to fess up or to prove us wrong, but you never made an attempt.
It's all good. I've had 4 people contact me about Kid Niki. And it sounds like Mega Man doesnt exist, so that means I'm almost done my 5 screw collection (except for boxes).
Problem is, the boxes are easier for people to fake than the carts. Thats why I would never pay a premium for either.
I not convinced Matt was "serious" about conning anyone
1) the pics look nothing like what a 5 screw Mega Man would look like.
2) I know of people who have bought 5 screw carts with the wrong labels on them. Pawn shop and flea market sellers have a tendancy to swap labels if they have cracked or damaged plastic
3) Theres people on this forum who admit to printing their own labels when they have a damaged label. Theres others who conveniently forget to mention it when they go to sell the cart. To me, thats worse.
4) I was the only person with a 5 screw Star Force for a very long time. I'm sure theres people who thought that was fake.
I don't think he was trying to con anyone either, it would have been a funny joke if he said he was just kidding at first but then trying to lie about it is what made me angry. Why lie when you know it isn't real.
matt163201, dude, just fess up man. I guess you didn't realize what you were getting yourself into, so here's your chance to come clean. We all make mistakes, and while it's embarrassing, it's best to just admit to it and start fresh.
Here's what gave it away, instantly:
1. 5-screw carts use the original seal of quality (round, gold; not white oval)
2. 5-screw carts don't have mixed region code (ie, USA/CAN). Those came years later.
3. 5-screw carts don't have aren't Rev-A
4. 5-screw carts use the simple Caution label (far fewer words).
So I totally have a 3-screw Soccer and Gumshoe. I also have a screwdriver and a couple of extra screws. I tried to screw them in to my Megaman, but upon discovering no place to screw tham in, I figured it was probably better to use super glue. If you are interested Matt let me know. Then you can have the most authentic five screw Mega Man in existence.

and here's the "I didn't photoshop this" shot lol
In case you all were wondering, it's non-fami adapter, standard (not security) screws and no code. Factory emboss large-font 08.
Thanks Pedro! This one was was a real bitch.

Dan, can you take a pic of the back label? (I just want to make sure it's not a no-code CAN)
Should we lock this thread? Unless of course someone has a 5 screw mega an to sell or trade .
