My biggest Craigslist find so far. . . literally.
I was checking out CL during some down time at work today and stumbled on this ad. http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/clt/2414521585.html I told my boss I had to go because I had some important shit to do. He didn't buy it since he was looking at the ad with me and knew what I was talking about. I gave the antique place a call, but the lady was already gone with all her stuff. Luckily, the person who answered gave me her #. I gave her a call and told me she was currently putting it away in a storage unit and turned out to be right down the street from my house. So I drove a mile down the street to the storage unit instead of the 25 minute drive to the antique shop. Some more luck there. I showed up and it was bigger than I originally thought. Damn! That's not gonna fit in my car. They offered to drop it off at my place for me. Awesome!

I don't know if I got a good deal, but I was happy with the price. $75 shipped.

I just wanted to share what I've done with the cabinet. I finally got it set up yesterday. That thing is heavy! After I set it up I found a back RCA cable long enough for the NES. I'll have to swap it out soon. I'll probably switch the display once I get more stuff, but I don't wanna stuff it. I'd like to keep it simple. Here it is!

Nice, someone posted about that on here earlier.
That's funny. I didn't even see that thread. Crazy coincidence that someone else on NA picked it up by chance.
Awesome find! Even better if it had the key...
It does have the lock and key. The lock was taken off to make sure we had the right key for it. I forgot to put it back on for the picture. From the sound of it it seems like I did pretty good.

Maybe I don't have the original key. I think the lock and key that it has was added later. The one in the top center looks like a key hole, but I don't see anything that would fit that. Too bad.
Glad to see that someone local picked it up, and for a good price. I was hoping it'd still be available for me to pick up tomorrow! Good deals go fast!
Thanks guys. Yeah, I think the light is awesome. I just don't understand why whoever had this before thought it was necessary to make a hole in back to pass the cable through. It already had a factory hole on the other side.
Same guy that would sell it on CL for $75, probably was surprised at the amount of interest on it too\
nice find
