I bought a whole lot of sci-fi laserdiscs last month.

Naw you got to flip it, it is very nice thou, it's pretty compact as far as Laser disc players go, its a 1996 model.
  • With Canada Post mail resuming I had a parcel with 3 gamecube games in the mail yesterday.

Really happy with the Soul Blazer pickup.

I highly recommend giving trace memory a try, I really enjoyed it, and the sequel of sorts hotel dusk is very good as well.
  • I just got a sealed Pokemon Gold in the mail today and am pretty disappointed about the condition.
Folks, remember to always ask about condition if there is a stock photo. I asked about the h-seam only, which was stupid.

There is pretty much zero chance that I can get back what I paid since it's in such horrible condition

  • Snagged a Wild Guns for SNES with a little bit of label damage for ten bucks at the game store down the street from my house.

The Exchange.  Hate their price stickers.
  • Even better, what I thought was a label tear was just some crud on the label. Might leave that price sticker on there for posterity's sake (left the 6.00 one on my R-Type III).

This is why I never buy items with a stock photo, especially a sealed game.

Yeah, I should have asked about condition. Nothing I can do about it now, if anybody's interested it's available in my FS/WTB thread (link in sig).

  • I got everything here minus the box for $28.  My buddy and I were supposed were working on a car and decided to go to the junkyard.  I wanted to get rid of a TV so we stopped by a local thrift store and of course started looking around and found this stuff minus the box.  We had about half hour until the junkyard closed down the street.  Turns out they didn't have any cars/parts of use to us.  We looked around just to check out car stuff and noticed a pile of cardboard.  Whoa! What's this?  Found this box and asked if they were gonna do anything with it.  The guy told me he was going to use it to ship some stuff or throw away and let me have it. Sweet! Just the box, though.  No styro.  Can't beat free though.

  • I went to the flee market today and got Combat for the atari 2600, a copy of Dungeon Keeper for PC and 3 different plug and plays ten cents each on the plug and plays except Star Wars which was a dollar. And of course i rescued a NES composite chord for a quarter. I can't help it if i see a chord for under 50 cents i have to get it. small haul yes but satisfying
  • flea market for me today too...bought an early 90's pro wrestling book and they threw in vectorman and pifall mayan adventure for genesis...spent $5. then got a gameboy color with madden 2001 in it for $5. last stop got me family feud for nes, spider man/venom seperation anxiety for genesis, and sonic adventure for dreamcast for a total of $10. not bad considering the small amount of vendors because of rain. only like an eighth of what they normally have.
  • Two NES decks in the last 24 hours, $3 total. One has everything but the power, the other had nothing. At least the one with everything came with two controllers.

Not even sure if they work, but for $1 and $2, I can always use them for parts if they don't.

Wow did you find all that stuff in the wild?  Little samson!  Is that worth as much as the NTSC version?  That NES looks super clean.  And what's up with the SMB3 label?  Haha.  Welcome to NA

  • To be honest I have no idea if Little Samson is worth as much as the NTSC version but it's the first time I've come across one, so I doubt they're very common.

As to whether it was found in the wild, a facebook friend of mine told me about one of his friends wanting to get rid of both the NES and PS2, so he put in a good word for me, and boom, it was all mine

I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised when I saw the games included with the NES. Adventure Island II, Kirby, Little Samson and the Mega Man games, that's not something you see everyday in my neck of the woods.

And yeah, the SMB3 label is sweet! It sure beats having one with a torn label and black marker scribbled over it
  • Mail brought me some SNES RPG's from a trade.  Final Fantasy II, III, and Secret of Mana.
  • picked up 88 NES dust sleeves for a quarter a piece.
  • I love old guide books.

Too bad is a minty cart
  • ^Dissapointed that it's Minty? Paul you are one of a kind man

I sort of know the feeling though, I like my horror carts trashed, and when it's mint, it just doesn't feel dirty enough for me
  • paid $10 for adventures of lolo, to the earth, mission impossible, and the legend of cage on nes. got some 25 cent 2600 cartridges for my trade box....riddle of the sphinx, missile command, swordquest earth world, yars revenge, atlantis, vanguard, and commando raid. didnt need any of them but for that cheap why not?

  • Here's a find from Disneyland of all places. I went there yesterday since I live nearby and found this neat find:

It's a limited release set of pins that are enclosed in a mock Atari 2600 box! I thought that was really cool when I picked it up, but when I got home and opened it up, the pins themselves were enclosed in a mock Atari 2600 cartridge!
