Swapping Out Labels

I was just wondering if it was possible to take a label off of a game with a cracked cart and glue it back down on a cheap cart after removing that label as well. Has anyone tried this before?

  • Nope, it'd be easier to just get a new label.
  • Here we go again..
  • Well not normal labels. However the n64 zelda mm holo label peals off quite nice.
  • Just keep it original. I think you'd be hard pressed to get a label off successfully and re-apply.

The only time I'm for it, is when the label is missing completely, but I believe measures should be taken to make sure it's obvious it's not real.
  • Jsut leave it original..

Who wants a cracked cart? Especially if it needs to be held together by tape.

Why not just put the board in another cart and just right over the label
  • We don't need no stinking labels

  • I always heat up the label with a blowdryer until it's super hot which causes the glue to loosen it's hold then take a razorblade under a edge and lift then remove gently. If it's done right no glue will be needed as the original glue will still be there.
