    Speaking of Baseball Stars....

  • I used to shop at that Game King when I lived in Lawton, it was actually right down the street from my house.

So, Lincoln is buying up the Yellow Canopy stock, Smallwood Video Center's games have gone from Maryland to Finland and Oklahoma, and I don't even want to figure up the interest on a 20 year old $10 late fee.
  • ^ One from Smallwood also ended up in my hands.
  • If anyone ever finds one from somewhere in Arizona, I'm interested in buying :-)
  • So has anyone thought about doing an ex-rental cart collection like Paul is doing with his crappy cart collection?
  • Also have an Adventure Island with the same stickers etc on it as the Baseball Stars. Both amazingly are still CIB.

  • Updated - Video Game Exchange sounds like a retail shop...
  • it prolly is with a name like that, i just saw an old sticker on the back and posted without thinking about whether is was from a rental place or not. sorry bout that.
  • I started unpacking games today and found a couple of my ex-rentals. Keep in mind these are the ACTUAL TMNT games that my friends and I rented from our local rental place "Video Library" as kids. The store is looooong gone, and I feel extremely lucky to have gotten this piece of my childhood. Begging our parents to take us to Video Library to rent a game, then playing it all night with sodas and bags of chips are some of my favorite wintertime memories.

    Bump 'n' Jump

    Desert Commander

    Pinball

Wheel of Fortune Featuring Vanna White
  • Power Blade

    Sunnyside Plaza, Hartford SD

(this is probably a convenience store that rented games)

  • Fat chance I know but if any of you guys find any cart from Wild Willie's in Duncan, OK I will buy it from you. This is THE place that I rented games from until about 1993. Some of my fondest memories are of me and my dad going there on Friday afternoon and renting the latest badass NES/SNES games for the weekend.
  • EDIT - I think this one may be a store.

  • Awesome, I used to rent movies and games from both of these locations in Ohio all the time. Can't say I rented either of those games though. That brings back good memories.

    OHIO

    Akron

    RoadRunner Video - Solstice

    Stow

    Video Theater - After Burner
  • Wrecking Crew was at a Video Magic - three locations listed, not sure which this was in: Atlantic Beach, FL; Jacksonville Beach, FL and Saint Augustine, FL.

It even has a Be Kind, Please Rewind sticker. Never figured out how to rewind an NES cartridge, though.
  • I have a Power Blade that has a rental sticker on the back. Sadly, no address or phone number. *sigh* Just the typical, "Do not remove or you'll have to pay full retail price." Which is pretty humorous to see now... XD
  • Have a Xenophobe and Track N Field both from:

  • Just picked up a copy of Jurassic Park for the SNES. On the cart it read: Blockbuster, PPG, 51009. Looked up the string of words and numbers in Google and came up with the following: 1345 Kempsville Road, #101 Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464-6177. The best part is is if it really is from VA it took one hell of a trip cuz I bought it here in central MA.
  • I found at copy of Rainbow Islands at my friend's game store that was from the place I used to rent games from as a kid. Mr. Video in West Sand Lake, NY
  • Never posted on here, but I thought this one was too good not to add. Sticker was on a Felix the Cat cart I got in a lot on ebay.
