NES Pro Play Home Arcade

  • Damn, never seen one in this kind of shape before, I feel like these usually pop up abused. For anyone looking to get this freighted, I've used NAVL a few times and have always been VERY pleased with their shipping of arcade cabs so you can rest assured it will arrive on your step in the condition it is in now. Good luck with the sale!
  • I will get it started since I can do local pickup on it image I won't win it but will be fun to watch.

  • I would have bought it myself, but I've got pinballs to keep up with!
  • That thing is sweet!
  • I'm watching this one.. I've been wanting this for a while, but I wasn't paying the $350 initial asking price..

Maybe I'll get lucky if NGD doesn't outbid me..
  • For some reason when I read the title for this I thought it was some kind of home Play Choice 10 thing image
  • Hey NGD if you were the one really bidding on this I'm sorry... You've been outbid..

If you are really serious about wanting it let me know and I will stop bidding against you..
  • Something doesn't look right with it. The TV is WAYYY different from the one in the promo posters in my eyes! Might be just me though. It doesn't have the original stickers on the side - to me it smells of a cheap knock off (no offence mate), or at least incomplete. Oh and the plastic trim isn't black. Possibly a refurbished original (ie painstakingly restored?)

But I am not an expert by any means.

    EDIT: spelling
  • I'm not sure the TV actually came with the unit to begin with. I think it was just a plywood cabinet with the joysticks. It's weird that it's a different color and that the buttons are laid out differently, though.
  • Ah ha! didn't notice the button arrangement being different! Holy cow, this must be a rip for sure! God forbid for the sake of collectors they have variants of these too!

It's supposed to have plexiglass infront of the screen and the manual shows a different button arrangement!

EDIT: added a picture of the side art and a scan of pade three showing the components.
  • It seems in the last page of the manual theres a mention of putting the start and select buttons between the players controls.

    The manufacturer was:

    ECLECTIC Products

    931 Matts Court

    Los Altos, CA 94022

If it helps anyone wanting further info on these.
  • Zeeko: these never came with a TV, and the photos on those sell sheets are hardly accurate. If you went to Toys R Us, you had to assemble it yourself.

Also, what was meant in the description is this is the TV that came with it when he got it from someone else.  This is NOT a knockoff, and is 100% authentic.

I asked Rob about the stickers, and he said they were all cracked and nasty. He replaced the buttons with new, functional ones, and cleaned up the cabinet quite nicely, but it is indeed an original as stated before. He has the plexi if needed he said.

  • DreamTR - cool. Never wanted to sound like I was openly knocking its authenticity. I was drunk and pissed off in the first place. I tend to get worked up over stuff when drunk (smashed a Neo Geo AES arcade stick the other night arrgg!).

    Good luck with the sale!
