SOB - problem with SNES system

Hey guys,

So with today's find I finally got around to testing out the SNES I bought and basically none of the games work on the system.

And i get this type of screen:

The sound seems to work fine - but i get this image or nothing.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

    bump for more interest. I bought a snes the other day that was said to be in rough shape. Its looked great on the outside and it has played great. I hope its something easy for you to fix.

    Did you try cleaning the contacts?

    gonna try that today, i got some the cleaning cart for the snes and another tool to try it out
