  • End label's messed up and box is messed up... and yet it'll still get a ton...
  • "Messed up" is in the eye of the beholder image . Yeah, I can see it breaking 5-600 and that box looks shitty.
  • I put my bid on it! I want that box!
  • That's a lot of cash...
  • This pictures on this auction really suck, but the more I look at it, the box doesn't look THAT bad. It sucks that the creases are on there, but it doesn't look sunfaded at all.
  • Seems like a lot of F2 boxes are faded like that. Is that from sitting on a rental store shelf with all the light hitting it?

    Yes sir.

  • the only thing worse than fluorescent overhead lighting is sunlight, and most rental places have a glass storefront. Double whammy.
  • Quick question - What do you guys think is harder to find? The box for this game or the manual for this game?
  • boxes have been selling pretty frequently lately and lots of people seem to need the manual. I would guess the manual right now. About a year ago it was opposite though....

    ~~NGD
  • I'm going to say manual. There have been at least three or four boxes on the open market since I've been a member here and NO manuals that I know of (unless we're talking CIBs).
  • rarer? manual, manual, manual... f*cking manual! box is more valuable in price, but manual is rarer! however, price would be about close right now for the next manual that pops up cuz eeeeeeeeveryone and their momma needs this manual, including yours truly!
  • I told Langenfeld that if I were to ever part with my F2 manual, it was coming to him. If I die of mysterious causes, please point the authorities in his direction.
  • The manual is friggn impossible to find now in days! The box usually turns up (9/10 boxes looking like they've seen better days but none the less the box). Anyone who has the manual wont give it up without a fight!
  • $370 was not a big price at all. I ever see the box itself sold for about $450 or so. What do you guys think?
  • Yeah I thought it was low too...the box isn't great but it's not that bad. I think his crappy pics drove the price down.
  • It sort of gives me hope in this hobby that the box didn't go more expensive that previous boxes.
  • Someone got a great deal on that one. I would guess a combination of shitty pics and low seller feedback helped some, but maybe the craze for F2 is starting to come to an end.

    Never

You're right, what was I thinking? image
  • I was the runner up bidder with a pity bid. It would have gone for around $255 had I not bid. Resale is around $600 for this one. $200 for cart $400 for box. Good deal for Mr. Superfuzzedbigbuff guy
  • no shit, that was a steal. next one brings the bucks.

i also agree that the manual is harder to come by. i believe that this was rental exclusive. What did most rental places do with manuals... cut em up and photocopy them. shitty.
  • I wonder why people weren't on top of this auction. If I would have been paying closer attention, I might have tried to pick this up for trade fodder.
  • Well it was poorly listed. No "NES" or "Nintendo" in the title description. Plus the pictures weren't great. Still I would have expected in the $500 range for it.

I didn't even notice the poor listing title. It kicked off my saved search and I didn't think much about it after that. Whoever ended up buying it could probably put it back up next week with a decent listing and make a couple hundred in profit.
  • Yeah, if I wasn't that broke I would have tried to win that little baby. Anyway, congrats for the big resale opportunity man.
  • No way is that box worth $400 a 9/10 one sure but that one is FAR from mint.I also think many collectors are wise to the fact that the manual alone is a BITCH to find,so most will just wait for a cib.
  • that sucked! i was watching this one as i bought this guys sealed maxi 15... and i worked 13 hours today so i completely forgot to check ebay! damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. i woulda went as high as $500 for this. the box didnt have a blockbuster slash on it (i asked the seller) and apparently it was in quite good condition. ugh, that pisses me off! oh well!

Guess its all how you look at it If I were going to spend the money I would want a decent box. I know its a flintstones box but it wasnt in the best condition. Plus stuff hasnr been selling very well on ebay. I ve got a lot of stuff really cheap. and stuff ive been selling hasnt been going for much either. The economy is not in very good shape at all. when gas hits 5.00 dollars by the end of the summer I doubt you will be seeing a lot of stuff sell on ebay.

Yeah, I agree with this.  If you're so deep into the hobby that you're willing to spend $500+ on a single title that's NOT EVEN CIB, you may as well wait for a nice one.  That box is garbage.
