Egads, my joycards don't work!

So I decided to dig out one of my Sansui Joycards to use because I wanted some turbo fire. Plug it in and it wont work. I grab the second one, plug it in, same deal. I grab the third one. It will work but the turbo functions will not! These have been in a box for about 8 years. I took one apart to get a look at the contacts and all is shiny and gold. So potential problems with the capacitors perhaps?  Anyone fixed these before or just have some insight? 0

    All they are is one chip and 5 wires, I doubt there's something wrong with all 3 unless you NES blew them. Did other controller work before and after? Did they ever work with your NES?

    Use the black buttons to mod a regular nes controller to have black buttons. I think it looks keeeeeeewl! I had 3. 1 did not work so I did this.

    I've never tried to use them with this current NES. I guess I have like 6 others I could try... and yeah once upon a time they worked. My other controllers work in this NES though. Also, they look like more than one chip and 5 wires to me.... they have 2 boards in them alone. I should take a picture but its time to go drinking....

    Oh, I thought they were just famicom controller clones. Not sure about that then. But for all of them not to work is weird. You try multiple games? Do you have a powerpak?
