Top 10 list of the HARDEST Nes games ever!
After drinking a bit too much I did a odd video where I picked out 10 of the toughest NES ever in my opinion:

I also did one for the Tg-16 too:

Lets see if you agree with some of picks or not, eh?

BlasterMaster? Realy? No.
Sorry, I just really hate some of the bosses and limited continues in the game.
Sweet hair at any rate.
shit, almost all NES games are hard for me. i can't make it past the few first stages of almost anything, besides maybe a handful of games. i recently started using Game Genie codes with games on the PowerPak and am having a lot more fun that way. weak as hell, but at least i'm able to see the later stages of some games that always kicked my ass.
It's actually not a bad way to practice either. Just because you HAVE infinite lives doesn't mean you shouldn't see how far you can get without losing them. The more you practice, the better you'll get, and eventually you may even surprise yourself.
Infinite lives - what? I thought the Game Genie was all about sky-jumps and moon-walking.
not sure if you're joking or not, but this is exactly what i thought of the Game Genie for years. when it came out i thought it was just a goofy novelty. i never really looked into what codes were available for certain games until recently. i was going to ask if anyone had hacked games for infinite lives or invincibility like they do with C64 games. then i realized that this is probably another thing that the Game Genie is used for.
but yeah, it's way cool.
EDIT: I guess that sounded like I don't have one anymore...because I do, I actually have the one I had as a kid as well as a black one that I found and had to have. But I don't really use them much anymore because I am trying to just be a purest. Not that there is anything bad about using one or anything. Just a personal decision I made. Plus I don't wanna fuckup my NESes Top Loaders or New 72pin toasters.
No Dragon's Lair or Ninja Gaiden 3?
Sweet hair at any rate.
What Ninja Gaiden 3 is in there! Dragon's Lair almost made it though.

Whoops, I don't even know how I forgot that quickly.
Ghost n Goblins isnt that hard.
And drugs r bad, mmmkaaaay?
How about Guerrilla War? I don't recall finishing that one without using 50 continues, and I consider myself to be pretty decent at most of the "challenging" NES games.

I don't like drugs, the drugs like me.
touché!
Silver Surfer wouldn't crack my top 10. It's hard, but it's doable with enough practice.
You must be a ridiculous gamer, becuase Silver Surfer is merciless. I'm mad right now just thinking about it.
Holy Diver's relentless... and no one talks about it. It's technically Famicom, but still.
@ Nightowl: That game is hard as fuck! It's like Castlevania on steroids.
About the video, Krion Conquest is a beast, it looks like Megaman for girls, but it's harder than any Megaman game I've ever played.
The only thing really hard about Blaster Master is the fact that it takes forever to beat the game and you really have to devote a day towards beating it. And it does fucking suck to get right there at the end only to run out of continues and have to play the whole damned thing over again. Like I said though, it's not a super hard game, the amount of time it takes to get through it is a bit more tedious as an adult as opposed to when I was a kid.
Bayou Billy should be in there, the beat em up stages basically make you cheese the same attacks to progress and the shooting stages are impossible, the driving stages just go on and on.

Yeah, I'm pretty good. Oddly enough, I suck ass at shooters, yet I've knocked off Abadox and came close to beating Silver Surfer (and would've if I kept at it...short attention span). Once you know the lay of the land and can anticipate where to be, it's not really that tough.

Abadox is really fucking hard too now that you mention it. I can get pretty far into it but it starts to get insane after awhile.

Infinite continues makes it doable. I also remember one spot just after the midway point of one level...if you were fully powered, you were okay, but if you died, you actually had to skip the first power up or you'd get destroyed. It was because if you shoot the phoenix enemies, they get pissed, and with the power up, you couldn't avoid hitting it. If you didn't power up, the shots you need to take won't hit it, and thus won't result in it fucking your ass up. Them programmers were sneaky bastards!
