Something nicer to store my games in

Hey again all.  I've seen pictures of people's collection and they mostly have them in bookcases or shelves.  I myself have them stored in three Xerox boxes, which work, of course, but I would like something a little better.  I don't need a fancy wooden bookcase...  just something kinda cheap.  Any thoughts?

I've been thinking of looking at plastic containers, though finding one that's not overly tall and that would hold approx. 50 games is hard.

I have a CD tower that would kinda work...  the games fit, but I don't like it because they stick out of there a little.

  • I custom built mine.  Im a carpenter, by trade, so it was pretty easy.  It cost about $70.00 for the lumber.  It holds about 360 carts.  They fit perfectly, so it looks real custom.  If you look at the thread with everyones pics you will see a pic of it.
  • I have bought all of mine, but I would also suggest building one. I have very basic carpentry skills, if I could it anyone could.....if you have a few power tools.

  • I actually went to our local Borden's factory and asked them if I could have a bunch of milk crates. They stack pretty well and look pretty cool. I use them for all of my video game stuff right now. They "technically" aren't supposed to, but the guy was nice and let me snag several. You could give that a try.
  • actually those plastic bins can get pretty expensive if you buy very many. plus they break real easy

I just saw the pic, very nice collection! I have a very similar one, also holds 360 games, but it has 9 rows rather than 8, each holding 40 games. I actually bought mine in the US (forgot which store), and I can only assume it was meant for storing CDs...it's perfect for NES carts, though. I wish I had a second one as I've had to store games elsewhere ever since I passed the 360 game count.
