Does anyone have an NES with a CopyNES installed, that they could lend me?
I am trying to dump a very interesting and very rare Famicom cart that I have, which is undumped as of yet, and I will release the ROM as soon as I am able to dump it. I would rather not say what it is at the moment though. But, I would like to know if anyone has a CopyNES console that I could borrow for a couple of weeks. I would pay for the postage both ways, of course. This is the best way that I can think of to dump it myself, as I don't really like the idea of sending it off to be dumped, and I would rather not buy the CopyNES just to dump this one game.

I would be willing to dump a game for you if you want to send it to me. You might want to check what mapper your "rare famicom game" uses though, since it's possible there is no copynes plugin for that mapper, and I wouldn't be able to dump it anyway.
He probably wouldn't be skilled enough to install it though. Mind you the CopyNES really just needs a steady hand and proper tools more than anything, but yeah desoldering a CPU is no small thing.
That was unwarranted... For all we know he could be an electrical engineer. This comment seemed kinda like an insult... just saying

Even if you have never touched a soldering iron, it shouldn't be too much of an obstacle.. They give you step by step instructions, and there aren't many steps... Desoldering the CPU is just a matter of heating the solder and putting some desolering braid on it. I could see someone being worried about assembling the old serial one since it came in a lot more peices..
Well, I never touched a soldering iron before I got my first copynes, and braid worked much better for me. Just touch the braid to the solder and the iron to the braid until the solder goes into the braid.
Edit: and watch your fingers

Especially if you follow instructions and solder as good as Guntz.

Ahahaha... You're a funny sum bitch... My soldering is just fine. I have several working repros now, as well as several other successful mods and repairs (supergun, region modded TG-16 etc). What I could do with is another powered desoldering iron, mine broke. I'm getting tired of clipping mask roms and painstakingly clearing out each hole while also trying to get the piece of IC leg out as well...

I don't think so. He has pee and poop as his name for cripes sake, I really doubt he's a soldering genius. Though of course, I wouldn't mind being proven wrong.

*notices someone hacked his comment* Well that seemed extremely rude.
OP, I'd just send it to somebody with the tools to do it, it's easier that way in the end. Good luck man, can't wait to see what you have!

I think Guntz is some sexist dumb-fuck cunt that hates men. Her argument is invalid.

Well here it is: I would love to clam responsibility for editing your comment, however I cannot. I will say this, if you don't like how we attempt to keep this place civil, you can find yourself a new place to troll and act likes dick
