How do I clean a dirty Power Glove?

I recently traded a couple boxed games for a Power Glove. I was forewarned the glove was kinda dirty and would need to be cleaned. Well I was wondering if anyone has ever had to clean one before and if so, how? I haven't gotten it yet to see exactly how dirty it is and what all needs to be cleaned so lets just assume the entire thing needs a clean up and its pretty dirty but not the worst you've ever seen.

  • I'd just run it through the dishwasher...hehe. Actually just wipe it down with a damp cloth. I find those clorox wipes that are in the tubs work great for cleaning gaming junk. They aren't as hard core as they sound and won't discolor anything.

  • After you give yourself HJ's, warm water + some soft soap.
  • I've used the Clorox and Lisol ones, but just wasn't sure ifthey'd be safe on whatever fabric the glove is made of. I also wasn't sure if the controller part of the glove came off making it washer friendly.
  • I haven't held a power glove in about 20 years, but if I remember correctly, the material is like spandex or Lycra, so you could hand wash it with soap. I believe the controller panel does come off, though I'm not sure how / where you'd need to unscrew it.
  • I'll figure it out I'm sure. I was just looking to get a heads up incase there were anything special I'd need to pick up. Thanks for the info though.
