After all the cartridge label IS black. Interesting..

exactly what I would guess happened as well.    Although that doesn't explain maximus' copy and I don't know how he got his

  • I am glad I could help Jason image
  • he has listed a few more auctions. including some sealed virtual boy games.
  • wow, lol...nester's funky bowling is one of the more expensive VB games too...he has 3 of them lol.
  • Yeah, all three Virtual Boy lots appear to be virtually identical. I wonder what kind of N64 stuff he might list...?
  • Auction #1 is GONE!! I guess it violates E-bays policy on charity auctions which means the rest could follow suit.

    oh man.  That is ridiculous.
  • do you get your fees back when ebay pulls stuff
  • That is strange.....I'd be nice to hear the story about what happened to it.
  • Very strange... but wouldn't they have pulled the plug on them all at once, if they all violated policy?
  • people report them, they get yanked. I don't think they have a lot of agents looking for charity violations, it doesn't pay for them to do so.
  • Well, I just guessed thats what it is when I told Bryan about them earlier today.

Who knows why it got pulled. I am curious myself. if it was a charity violation, you would think all of the listings would have been pulled...
  • at least on minor violations, it appears that they only pull listings that are reported, they don't check other listings by the same seller
  • Sucks for whomever was going for BB2. The only other thing I can think of is if someone offered a huge amount of $ for that one lot. However, based upon the responses of the seller, I don't think that's what happened. I also don't think a listing can disappear like that if the seller himself pulls the plug.
  • BTW, for what it's worth the seller posted some additional pictures for some of the lots, located here:

  • yeah, let's see him respond here and see what he has to say.

I find it ridiculas that when you are dealing with $20,000+ in games that you can't list decent pictures of the games or create a more detailed listing. The 3 identical virtual boy lots plus listing #1 getting pulled just make it worse.

You know what, that is BS.   Just because the auctions aren't exactly the way you like them doesn't mean you should be encouraging people not to pay.   Think how pissed you'd be if you were selling something and you had a third party telling bidders not to pay.
  • they're real, he posted more pics. They only ship to North America, so I would think International bidders would be at a minimum anyway. Only ones with American/Canadian friends that would forward the games.

lol it's easy for you to say becuase you live next door to the seller(s). All i was trying to say is that before everyone bids very high on these it would be nice to see more clearer pictures of the games or to have someone stop by and inspect them. most of the people who will probably end up winning these live overseas or thousands of miles away and dont have any chance to pick them up locally so pictures are their only way of judging the condition of the games. I don't know how you buy but I sure don't throw my money around blindy not knowing what the hell im bidding on and what condition it's in. Maybe for a few hundred dollar game thats fine but for 20K + it's ridiculas.

Guess what its really not your call - you have no business interfering with their auction.   Of course they should put up as many pics as possible and/or let locals inspect but if they choose not to do nobody has the right to interfere with their payment stream.

  • he needs to edit his auctions then, they say he ships anywhere in North America.
  • If you aren't comfortable with the pictures he has up now then don't bid. Easy as that.
  • Seems like a couple bids got withdrawn on #2 and #3 :/ ...

My personal take on the whole pics thing... Frankly, I like the pics. I like 'em quite a bit. Now if I had some money to spare (like, say, a few thousand), I could show him I like the pics image .
  • mewithoutyou: asking for more pics is ok too. You dont always have to go with only what's up on the auction at the start.

nes4ever: im sure you have bidded on auctions where you couldnt see close-up pictures of every game youre bidding on. plus, he added some more pictures which adds to the legitimacy.
