is there a region mod to play japanese gbcolor in a usa system ???

    ok thank you so no gameboys handheld  systems need a mod for it is that correct ?

    That's correct. The DSi and 3DS are region locked however for DSI-enhanced software and 3DS software, but any Nintendo portable older than that is perfectly region-free.

    There is a demand for backlit GBCs however.
