Are you saying Tetris doesn't need a life bar?! Are you daft man? Think of all the possibilities! There could be like, Quick time events mid game where you have to fight off boars with nothing but a L block. If you fail, the life bar depletes. Don't let that life bar drain! If it does you'll have to pay EA $5 for DLC that will refill it. You cannot play again until you do.

But no, really, Bionic Commando is amazing.

    This is truth.
  • Voted no. I've tried for years to like it, but the lack of a climb up small knee level object ability really bugged the crap out of me. I get not wanting to jump due to the claw, but when you can make something overly complicated with grapple and swing, or just allowing someone to step over the equivalent of a 2ft tall box to keep going along a platform just rubbed me the wrong way. I've played it off and on at times over the years, but I just hate the mechanics.

WOW that is awesome! I stand corrected sir! That is so sweet I am so using that in my SIG!
  • Thats funny, I never even considered those things not being able to jump or climb when I was young playing this game.. I always just automatically accepted whatever parameters the games gave me and never stopped to think if they make sense outside of just being a rule in the game..

There aren't any knee high objects in that game though, everything is high enough to block your gun, which is carried on top of your shoulder

Edit:  Err, wrong.. Forgot you can shoot over the barrels they are still higher than his knees though  I need to play this again!

There nothing knee-high, but there is plenty waist-high.

Some people just like to dislike awesome things to be different, though

  • Yes wonderful game with great music! It was so hard when I played it as a kid. Still not the easiest game. Have to play it soon again!
  • It doesnt need a "jump" per say, but a little hop to reposition your arm better would be nice at times.
  • You guys have to admit as a kid, that final boss battle was pretty "damn" memorable.

We talked about that forever. It pulled no punches.
  • I really want to love this game but I just can't force myself past the first level for some reason.
  • Its a game you need to stick with a bit in the begining to get a feel for how you move. Then it just opens up with some great levels till the end.
  • An excellent game but fluidity was difficult to achieve.
  • It's good. Top 100 for sure, but I wouldn't place it in the top 25.
  • I thought the game mechanics were awesome as a kid, but it was so hard I never got very far. It wasn't until I was older that I could complete the game. Once you get the bazooka the game gets way easier.
  • i love the game mechanics from 1990 to today. i HATE the long tedious drawn out play. it's an arcade game with RPG elements which is not good. i only want fast blastin' action. i dont' want to go to towns, talk to people, bring object 1 to point A etc etc
  • Love it!
