Zelda's Adventure CDI NFR's

Just wanted to let you guys know if you don't know already there is a guy selling phillips CDI Zelda's Adventure Not For Resale Demo disks on ebay for $50 each and so far he has been re-listing every time one is sold which means he has several. Six have sold so far and it is the full version of the game and also the most difficult one to obtain out of the three terrible games in the series. Just thought I would throw this out there for all those die hard Zelda fans out there. Here is the Link http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zeldas-Adventure-CD-i-1994-Demonstration-Disc-Not-For-Resale-/110839151893?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item19ce873d15#ht_500wt_1361

  • I kind of think these are fakes, if you look close at the inner ring, its a lot thicker than the other NFR discs ive seen, plus it's clear where normally it should be silver. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm by no means an expert on CDI Games.
  • I saw the same thing and was debating if they were real or not. I went looking for CDi demo discs online and all the Zelda's Adventure ones I found were orange-colored.
  • They look like all of the other CDI demos I have seen, but it is possible I guess. It would be a rather strange item to fake though. If they are fake he's gonna have some troubles on his hands with the amount of these that he is selling to collectors. I for one will throw the book at him since I bought one and have other CDI demos to compare it with to verify authenticity.

I'm tempted to get one, but I'll wait and see untill you compare it, but by then whey will most likely all be gone anyways.
  • Well I just did A comparison with the Link Faces Of Evil Demo pictures and they are identical to the Zelda Adventure Demo that is currently being sold as far as I can tell so I am fairly certain it is the real deal. But the auction pic is at a bit of a bad angle so it's hard to make out the numbers and lettering at the very bottom of the disc. With that being said buy one at your own risk if you choos to get one cause we all know Penguin has A good eye when it comes to spotting things in pictures that don't seem right.image
  • I bought one of these earlier, too. Better not be fake.

It seems pretty legit, glad you found that faces of evil post, that made me feel alot better about the whole ordeal. But yeah it better not be fake. I seriously doubt it, but hey thats what buyers protection is for.

  • Yeah, I'm not too worried about it.
  • Though CD-i demos of the same game often appear in multiple colors, I've yet to see anything other than Red for the Zelda's Adventure. That, and the quantity he has for sale, makes me wonder. Take some good pics when it arrives, and good luck!
  • i thought cdi stuff was worth much more than that. interesting.
  • What's most curious is that the Seller hasn't upped the price after the first few sold...
  • What he did do was reject any offer below the $50 even though its an option to make an offer. He said he would rather for someone to pay the full $50.
  • I use to own. Zelda Adventure not for Resale and mine was orange. I sold to a guy here for 150$. I hope I didn't him scam out of his money.
  • Has anyone's shipped yet?

Or shown that they've purchased postage?

  • It's back.
  • I think they started selling Friday morning. I'm sure, if this is all legit, that he'll wait until they're all sold so he only has to make one trip to the post office.
  • Just bought one, if this turn out to be fake, I'll be pissed!
  • I do know one thing, he's selling them super fast. They don't even really have a chance for a best offer at the rate they're selling.
  • Let's just hope he stamps enough to cover all our orders.
  • He'll either get mass boost in positive all of a sudden, or mass negative and getting booted off Ebay/Paypal
  • Me: Hi, I noticed you sold quite a few of these now. I was just wondering how many of these you have. Did you find a bunch in a lot somewhere or were these part of your collection? Thanks, just curious to find out.

    Seller: collection.

One word? Maybe he's been getting questions all day, but I would've taken a bit more time answering someone's question. Was it wrong of me to ask how many he had?
  • I asked how many they had at 10am this morning...no response.

I think it's foul for the sole reason that they didn't raise the price after a few sold.
  • Another one just popped up.
  • Who the hell has twelve of these?
  • Well he has sold 11 so far and just posted another. I messaged him to ask how he came across these. Granted he could have found an old box of these somewhere but it's starting to smell foul.
  • I asked why they haven't raised the price and gave a link to this thread.
  • It wouldn't be the first time someone has found a hoard of a bunch of copies of an NFR game, the guy that was selling all of those Zelda Spirit Tracks NFR's comes to mind. The way he is listing them is just odd though, and you would think he would up the price with the speed at which they are selling unless he has like a hundred of them and doesn't want to flood ebay with them all at once and is happy with getting $50 quickly. It's also a bit strange that he isn't answering questions more openly, but if he has a bunch he probably doesn't want to disclose how many he has. He does have A 30 day return policy so I guess if it's foul we can always return it.
  • Well will be interested to see how this plays out...I am thinking if he had a box of these they would still be sealed in plastic

    But

    1. He had ok feedback

    2. Who would fake this?! But then again game collector gone bad...this is an easy one to fake

    3. go after him with PAYPAL if they are fake

Should make a pact that if these sadly are fake we stamp them copy or destroy them....shouldn't be in the market
  • Seller replied back that they have 15...found them.

They aren't concerned about price...said most demos seem to sale for $15 and figured $50 was a good number.

Said they're selling so they're happy.
