Are these DS games actually factory sealed?

    Looks iffy to me, but nowadays it's hard to tell anymore what's official.

    If I can remember correctly, they're sealed like DVDs.. not too sure but I'll have an answer by tomorrow when I go back to work. Most the games I sell are new, but I never bothered to look on how they are sealed. But I'm pretty sure DS games have that flap-pressed sealed.



    They could be store re-seals... Like if somehow the plastic cello gets torn from constant circulation, a store will reseal the item. Be careful though, you don't wanna get one that's a first-party game like Mario or Donkey Kong... those might be reseals and someone could have used the Club Nintendo codes on them.

    The cellophane on the only DS game I ever bought looked thinner than those.

    Cellophane on DS games shouldn't be stretchy or wrinkled looking.



    It should however, be stiffer plastic with a smooth appearance and neat folds on the bottom and top edges (like along the black plastic, not the artwork). I'd grab one of my Game & Watch Collections for visual aid but I don't have them in easy access right now.

    None of the sealed DS games I own look like that, I got probably 5 or 6 and I don't own a DS so they are all sealed

    You know after I did a lot more research I'm starting to believe these are actually factory sealed. Most sealed DS games have the standard Y-fold, but every time I find a sealed picture of the these two it looks exactly like mine. Here's an example:

    The seal in that picture is identical to mine.



    Maybe it was just the Ace Attorney games that were factory sealed like this?

    I have a few games sealed this way too. I'm gonna go with factory sealed.

    my copy of Apollo Justice has the same type of sealed wrap (not Y-fold cellophane) that is being questioned here. i've always wondered if mine is a reseal too as i bought mine off of a webstore



    all my other sealed DS games, including the first Phoenix Wright game and AAInvestigations all came with the Yfold cellophane seal

    Factory sealed. I preordered mine from GameStop and picked it up day one. It has the same seal on my sealed Justics for All and Trials & Tribulations.

    Madden for the 3ds has the same type of seal,so I'd guess it's official.

    A part of me was definitely hoping to open and keep them though...

    My advice to you is that unless they're worth tons and tons of money, just go ahead and open them up and play them anyway. Don't let someone else's collecting get in the way of your good ol' fashioned(or new fangled if you prefer) fun



    I mean, its not that I have anything against sealed collecting, it's just that it pains me to see someone say "no, I want to play this but because it's sealed I'm not gonna..." it was made to be played. Have your fun



    Although, you could always trade + cash for unsealed copies too, hmmm....

    Those are official. I've got all the Phoenix Wright games, day one buys from Amazon/GameStop. All in heat seal shrink. Not all games come in the Y-fold celophane. Capcom and Konami are notorious for using the heat shrink wraps on DS games.

    A little late but am coming back to confirm these are legit. My buddy got a whole stack (from retail store) and they are all sealed like this.
