Probably NES because it was the system that introduced me to gaming. I owned 3 systems as a kid. I wore out 2 grey box systems from playing them too much and my 3rd was a top loader that I still use regularly today.
Plus it has the most amazing library of games. It has games everyone remembers like Mario 3 and Contra. It has games that you only played because you blindly rented them one weekend not know what to expect like Milon's Secret Castle and Faxanadue. It has a large library of unlicensed games that you couldn't just go to Toys R Us and buy. The NES's game library is certainly the most fun to collect.
Not to mention how many cool and odd accessories the system had. Doezens of different types of controllers, game adapters like the Game Genie and Aladdin deck enhancer, even a toy robot to play games with you.
The NES is my favorite system ever. Favorite to play and favorite to collect.
SNES. I love sprite based RPG games, and this system has em' by the ton. Really good quality ones at that. Not to mention awesome games like Mario World, Super Metroid, DKC1/2/3, etc.
That is the system I enjoy most for the games natively on the system.. but my favorite for bringing them all together, believe it or not, is the Wii.
SNES because to me it combined a near-perfect combination of amazing gameplay with "good enough" visuals. Many of the games look pretty good, even to this day I feel. That plus I grew up with the SNES from ages 8-12... the best time to be a kid because you were old enough to "get it" yet still young enough to be in complete awe of it all. It was the golden period of gaming.
All that plus SNES controller = best ever IMO
This. Except I was a little younger and I'd personally beg to differ that the graphics were merely "good enough". Some games look fantastic even now, such as Seiken Densestu 3, Star Ocean etc, as well as games with less technically impressive graphics, like ALttP, SMW, Super Metroid, EarthBound and more.
The SNES controller is definitely up there, though I'm also a big fan of the 360 controller because I never use the D-pad outside of selecting weapons etc.
Comments
then N64
then SNES
then NES
then n64 (only because of a few games really) though lots of teenage nostalgia

The reason is that it took a good thing and improved it to a point that is still pretty to look at, today.
It's literally a SUPER NES The moniker works...
