I can't decide what to play next

  • The plot was still somewhat generic, though it had some nice surprises in it - both middle and end. Ancient cave/capsule monsters - eh... I leveled up my first capsule monster to level M and it/he was fine, but could have done just as well without. Over all, I'd give the game an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Paladins quest... it's hard to really say.... it's unique for sure. The graphics are horrible, but the gameplay is there, and the story is there as well. Story might not be so in depth as other games, but hey, you can do battles with 1 hand (directional buttons set the actions). It's a good game, and one of my favs for it's quirkiness. Some will hate it, some will appreciate it, some will love it.
  • Started Lunar: Silver Star Story on the PS1 this morning, and it's a major improvement over the Sega CD version (can't remember how far I got into that game, but I never finished it). I just got to Saith, and the graphics are beautifully done, but the battle system is.. eh... it's alright. Some of the button actions just seem to be out of place though and the menu system took me a few minutes to figure out. Not horrible things, just feels a little unpolished.
  • both are good, I liked Lunar more
  • Yeah, I've got both games, and I would have suggested Lufia II.

Regarding PQ, I've played a couple hours of it about a year ago. From what I remember, it was a decent RPG. I wouldn't put it in high regard.

Wanna talk about a shitty RPG on the SNES? Brandish. Sucks.
  • I've never played Brandish, though I may have to look into it. PQ might just be a nostalgic thing for me, and I'm sure some people may agree that it's a great game, while the rest will put it in the mediocre to shitty category.
