Resident Evil 3 and 5 are the worst in that series IMO. RE1 was innovative and pioneered its genre. RE2 and 4 were freaking awesome, and I have high hopes for RE6 later this year.
Probably Pokemon Black and White. I don't play many games starting from the start and then going to sequels, but I wanted to try this out. Bleh, gave up after 2nd gym.
While it did not suck infact it is a good game in its own rights, there are several way's to cheat the system and power level your skills with out having to do any real work. The multiplayer is/was broken at launch I have not played it since they already nerfed the difficulty in a patch and that was dissapointing.
Demon's Soul's was amazing and I still play it but they are killing the online aspect soon so it will pretty much be pointless to play since the best part of Demon's soul's was the pvp and online adventure with other players..
I haven't tried dark souls yet, but I loved demon souls. Sorry to hear it doesn't measure up. Are they really killing the online for Demon Souls already? Thats weak sauce.. It seems to be very busy still and it would really take away from the game without it...
Dark Souls was EXTREMELY FUN! Well, in my opinion. I never knew you could power level, though. I suppose if I actually played online, someone would've been doing it and I would've found out or something.
I really want to play Demon Souls, but I don't have a PS3...
well Double Dragon 2 is by far my favorite of the series, so again its all opinions
just like zelda 2 is my favorite of that series along with LTTP.
and how i absolutely love batman return of the joker (i beat it my first night getting it, I didnt think it was hard >_>)
alright so here are some let downs ive had over the years
Final Fight 2
Blaster master 2
Double Dragon 3
Mario party 3
Ninja gaiden 3 (north american release)
I feel castlevania 2 could have been a good game. but its lack of polish and direction (and tedious holes in the ground) made it a pile. All it needed was some tweaking (im sure theres some great mods of it out there)
Final Fantasy 8 - Oh goody I get to play as an emo douchebag in one of the most convoluted, stupid plots ever! Oh joy!
Dragon Warrior 2 - Introduced a party system and a larger world without addressing all of the frustrating mechanics from the first game, making it a long boring slog. Oh and instant death spell spamming enemies, can't forget that.
Alundra 2 - What is this I don't even...
Granstream Saga - This might be cheating, but if you consider this part of the Soul Blazer series, it's really disappointing.
Anything after Secret of Mana - Oh yeah, I went there. And yes, this includes Seiken Densetsu 3!
Breath of Fire 4 - Thought BoF3 introduced some things that screwed up the series, but I liked it enough to actually beat it, whereas this game... I resign thee to the junk heap of history!

I never said it wasnt fun And you can power level on or offline infact it would be in your best interest to power level offline so that you do not get ganked by an invader!
The power leveling spot is in the forest area with all the human/ghosts just after you open the door with the 20000 soul key from the bearded blacksmith or going up the back way in the Crystal Forest after killing the Hydra.
Comments
i just think they should have kept the same gameplay and just created a new world to explore.
there was such a hype over it in nintendo power at the time and the delays and the infamous microchip shortage
