Howdy

I have been collecting consoles for over twenty years and uprights for the past year and a half.  I sold off a good portion of my console stuff to support myself through college.  I am currently in the rebuilding process.

I try and stick wih the basic 8 and 16 bit stuff, though I do have a Dreamcast.  The NES and SNES have held the top spots in my heart, however I just picked up a Famicom and Super Famicom and I am quite smitten with them.  I see them quickly becoming my favorites.

I look forward to meeting some new collectors and learning a bit more about the technical side of things.

My Collection as it stands now.  I'll try and snap some some photos of it later.

  • Welcome to NA!!
  • HEEEEYYYY!!!!!!!!! WELCOME!!!!!
  • what up uh er dog.
  • Thanks, the collection dwindled down quite a bit over the years, but for the most part the games I have are the games I play with regularity.  As far as the fighters go, they just keep falling in my lap. I just sold off a couple of the CPS2 board sets, but was just offered a couple of more.  They reproduce like rabbits.

I am pretty stoked about the acquisition of the Famicoms to my lineup.  They opened up a new world of 8 and 16 bit gaming for me.  I was fortunate enough to inherit a crate of games from the guy I bought my systems from so I have a pretty solid collection already.
  • Now there's a familiar name! Welcome to the site Mellissa, you'll fit right in here.
  • KLOV, right? I thought the name was familiar.

    welcome to NA!

Here are some photos from when we moved it.  The guy I bought it from, purchased it from a former Disney Employee.  We removed the monitor to lighten it.

I bought it to put in my apt next to my Neo Geo, and former PC-10.  Unfortunately it didn't fit through my doorway so it just sits at my warehouse.  I may end up selling it.  I am a firm believer games should be played and not stored.

I was pretty stoked because I was in the process of buildng my own with an MK cab when my friend decided to sell me his.  I will take some photos of the wiring if you like.  I am sure your aware that the Gene puts out an RGB signal so it is pretty easy to wire it for an arcade cabinet.

  • Welcome! Thanks again for your help in diagnosing the issue with my Pac Man cab
  • Fellow Massachusetts'er enjoy the site.
  • Welcome aboard!
  • Welcome to NA!
  • That cab looks wicked... Too bad theres no gargoyles arcade game to put in it
  • It's wired with a Genesis, so there is a Gargoyles game to play in it as well as Clay Fighters and Toe Jam & Earl

    The setup is pretty neat.
